This should be a fun poll to revisit. With the official announcement of Lovie as the 10th Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, how long do you think his tenure will last?I'm going with 10+ years. I think Lovie is here for the long haul.
Since he's a name guy even if we suck for the first 2 or 3 years I think he'll get longer than the last two guys did.
10+
Went 6-9. I don't know if coaches should stay more than a decade in one spot. Almost guaranteed to get some staleness by that point. 6-9 years is usually a very successful reign.
6-9 years or until he decides to retire. Whichever comes first.
3 yearsI think this was a safe hire. In a offensive league we went with a safe defensive minded HC? Especially in a division with brees, Newton & Ryan with a array of offensive weapons for each of those QB's, it will be tough for any coach to stay here when they finish 4th every year. Needed to hire a offensive coach that could put points up and keep the team competitive in the new flag football league. Good luck Lovie, you will need it.

Well:
Smith’s teams excelled in many ways, but there’s no doubt they were particularly good on defense. During his tenure as head coach in Chicago, the Bears led the NFL in takeaways (310), three-and-out drives forced (485), three-and-out drive percentage (26.4%), third down percentage (34.1%) and red zone scoring efficiency (79.3%). At the same time, Chicago ranked second in the league in opponent yards per pass attempt (6.52) and red zone takeaways (37), third in opponent passer rating (76.0), fourth in scoring defense (19.2 points per game) and seventh in rushing average (4.0).Of course, Chicago also enjoyed some of the best offensive success in team history during Smith’s time at the helm. In 2006, the Bears recorded the third-most points in franchise history (427) during their run to the Super Bowl. In 2009, quarterback Jay Cutler set franchise records in completions (336) and attempts (555), while his 3,666 passing yards were the second most in franchise history. In Smith's final season of 2012, the Bears boasted an offensive attack comprised of a 3,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and a 1,000-yard receiver for only the second time in team history.

All good points, but Freeman was the same way. Setting Buc team records. In 2012 Sullivan was the play caller with a 4,000 yard passer, 1,000 yard rusher and 1,000 yard receiver, but in 2013 he lead the 32nd ranked offense.Lovie doesn't have the offensive consistency from his prior stint as HC to give me the confidence that the Bucs will be able to keep pace with Atlanta, New Orleans or Carolina in this division. Maybe he runs a dominant defense, but in this league you need to score points and this hire doesn't make the offense better.
Probably 7 years.
His contract says 5, I'll go with that.
I'm going 6-9. I think the Glazers are done with the carousel. We have enough pieces on defense already that Lovie can translate them into winning regular season records, and if we get the right pieces and/or Glennon pans out we can become regular playoff contenders. Even if that doesn't translate into superbowls or even division championships, the Glazers will be more patient with Lovie than they have been with anyone since Gruden. After 5 years in the wilderness, I think a bit of humility will have set in. As owners, the Glazers were spoiled to an extent with very rapid success and they are probably somewhat shell shocked right now.Ultimately it will really come down to Lovie. I don't doubt he can field a consistent winner, but eventually even the greatest patience will be worn thin if there is no championship.

The Panthers have far from an explosive offense and just won the division because of having a great defense. And I voted 6-9.
6-9.You stick with good coaches. Through the ups and downs.See Marvin Lewis
