We had a much needed culture change and added some pieces on defense for the future. Reminds me of what singletary did in san fran. I'm not a schiano hater at all but we may need a new coach to take us to the next level. At least now we have a team that this area can relate to rather than that thug life ,me against the world bs we were dealing with. Fckn rapist drug dealers and "I'm a motha fckn soldier" cab driver beating convicts. Not to mention we had a gay drug addict qb.. thank god for schiano!

This comment is wrong on so many levels and you want to praise Schiano at the end. Wow. Just Wow!

How about a much simpler analysis....instead of worrying about rather cat turds taste better than dog turds we admit that they are both turds and both are bad.  Rah was a failure, pathetic and utter failure.  Rutgers is a more mundane sort of failure but still a failure.

Your context of mundane makes it sound like Schiano is less of a failure than Rah. Am I reading that right?

But that would stop all the fun!!! Seriously though, that is actually my point.  The discussion is funny and entertaining because Schiano currently fails on his own merits. Yet, there are posters here that are either so hyper-emotional or motivated by trolling or some other grievance (i.e, love for Freeman) or covering up for some prior silly comment ("New Myron Lewis")  . . . . that there is actually an argument being advanced that on top of his own obvious failings Schiano is "worse" than Morris.  Funnier yet, we have some trying to "prove" that with admittedly cherry-picked stats (lol) . .  like  . . . "Morris's record from the 14th Tuesday of 2009 until the third Wednesday of 2011 was way better than Schiano's total record"  . . .  all when the current season started on a serious down note due to the Crown Jewel of the Morris era. That is some good stuff, funny as hell. The hell with the "simpler analysis"!!! ;)

Rutgers is failing like hundred of other failed NFL coaches. He's just not very good. Rah failed in a different way with the team quitting. Sort of the different between falling out of a plane and falling out of a plane while on fire. The result of both is *splat* but one is more visually notably. Both guys have *splatted* but in different and equally bad ways.

Really the difference is the foundation that seems to exist now compared to what was left after 2011 and the quitting (I.e., the difference between Bennett, Perkins, and Williamson sucking and Wyche sucking)

Who cares if a team quits? A loss is a loss. It has no effect on the next season. The 2011 Bucs quit yet Schiano went 6-4 his first 10 games the next season. Andy Reid's 2012 Eagles team quit and now Chip Kelly is 8-6. Brian Billick's 2007 Ravens team quit yet John Harbaugh went 11-5 the next season.

To those who say Raheem Morris was better coach than Schiano . . . by looking at a fraction of Morris's tenure, no less.Digging_Deeper_Final.jpg

Morris did a loop de loop in his plane and then crashed trying to do a second. Schiano is just on a steady nose dive.

LMAO. Great analogy.

So the answer is no position in 3 years did not need to be rebuilt.  Not upgraded.  Rebuilt.  3 years, 6 1st/2nd round picks (plus 2nd rounder traded for winslow) and not one position was set when Morris was let go.

Where have I said that everything has been rebuilt?    Deflect, deflect, deflect.

I think your Schiano defense strategy is so convoluted that you can't even keep it straight anymore.
