Your reaction if Bucs took Delpit at 14? There have been some links going way back to pre combine. Bruce said on record when asked about particular positions they want to look at in the draft "if there's a safety in the 1st couple rounds we could definitely take one". This was the only position he named at that time.
I hated the idea of Delpit from the start but for some odd reason I feel like now I wouldn't be that angry, especially if we could trade back a few spots. We really need a guy who can cover on the back end and this kid is rangy as they come. Yeah he isn't the most physical on tape. His tackling needs to improve. But what he does well, he does great. And that's pass coverage.
I'm not a proponent at 14. There are a handful of guys I want more than Delpit. But it wouldn't shock me at all, and maybe it shouldn't shock you guys either.
