Very simple... to say.  Keep the ball out of the hands of the Ravens offense.

As scary as their offense is, they've only won one game by more than one score, against Buffalo 35 to 10.  Every other game they gave up 23 or more points.  The Ravens are 2-1 in away games losing one, winning in OT and by 3 points in the other. They've been on a roll winning four in a row, but they haven't dominated as much as you might think.

In the games that were truly close like the Bengals game the time of possession was about even.  Washington and Dallas tried to make late combacks which fell short, but they were dominated by the Ravens in time of possession.  It will be tough to stop Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry from doing their thing, so the Bucs have to sustain their own drives and keep that time of possession about even.  The Bucs offense is pretty good, good enough to sustain drives.  Then it comes down to who scores TDs and who scores FGs.  The Bucs defense does know how to tighten up in the red zone.  Score TDs on our red zone chances and hold them to FGs on theirs.

Of course the Ravens are a very good team, but they aren't steamrolling everybody.  They can be beaten.

Need offense to put up 30 points.

we last faced them in 2022 during the Brady forgettable year.  We held Lamar in check at 8 carries for 43 yards but their running backs averaged 7 yards a carry.  I guess it depends what defense of ours shows up.  The one that shit the bed on Prime time Thursday night or the one that that has looked good in all of our wins.

I am going to bank since it's Monday night football that the Ravens will show up and score points and be able to run the football effectively.  I dont see our defense performing their best.

The offense needs to keep up.  I have this penciled in as a loss but i hope i am wrong

Almost think this is one we can lose. Protect your defense, score with your offense and try and get a lead, then this time, keep your four on the GAS!

Does anyone know what is up with Evans leaving the field?

The best time to finally go deep is after running for 200 plus yards the game before

They are 24th in opponents points per game at but 4th in offensive points per game at 29.5.  They are down the list on Red Zone defense scoring percent giving up scores 67% of the time, but they are tied for first in red zone scoring offense at 75%.

The Ravens are 4th in the league in Time of Possession at 32 min, but in the last three games the Bucs have averaged over 32 min.

The Ravens are first in the league in Rushing Play Percentage at 52% and Rushing Yards/Gm at 205, but give up the fewest rushing yards in the league at 59.  So thats the secret to their success. Establish the run and don't let the other team do it.

Against the Saints, the Bucs said "OK you want to stop the run, no problem.  We'll just keep passing the ball" and they got out to a 17-0 lead.  The Saints had to change their strategy and the Bucs then went run heavy in the 2nd half.  I can see the same thing happening against the Ravens.  The one way to keep the Ravens from stopping the run is... don't run! The Bucs have confidence in Mayfield and their passing game, and are willing to rely on that if that's what the defense is giving them.

still a bit snake bitten by our hellen keller defensive performance against the Falcons on prime time.

until we can show that on prime time, we can play like we have in our wins, it will be hard for me to pick the Bucs against the Ravens or Chiefs these next 2 monday nights.

We are strong against the run. That's the ravens strength. I think we matchup well when we have Vea, Kancey, and Winfield healthy.

Little worried about Dean being out and Britt seeing too much time...

But overall I like our chances and I'm taking us to win

i hear ya but the Ravens are dominate run team.  They average 205 yards per game.  that is their offense and i dont think we are going to just hold them down.

The ravens have scored 30, 41, 35, and 28 points in the last 4 wins.  The 2 they lost they put up 20 and 23 points.  So if we an hold them to say 27-28 points and the offense shows up, then i think we have a chance.

Say we put up 30 as the offense continues to buzz...the question will be does the defense show up to hold them to one less touchdown

difference between a prime time defense meltdown 36-30 loss and 30-28 win!

Would really like a win on MNF. Close friend and his 17 yo son from northern VA are huge Ravens fans and they're coming down on Saturday, and we're going to the game on Monday with my neighbor across the street. Good seats. but on the visitors side. Two of us will be in red. Two of us will be in purple. GO BUCS!

Not sure how strong we will be against a team that’s actually built to run. Hope so, we’ll have to wait & see.

Hold Henry under 90?

Win the battle of run games?

So says Maurice Jones Drew

Derrick Henry leads the NFL in rush yards (704) and might be the Offensive Player of the Year frontrunner. But on the road against the Bucs, Henry takes a backseat to Bucky Irving, who leads all rookies with 328 rush yards — and outrushes The King on Monday night”

@bucsbits yeah, I don’t see any of that.

Saw that Ronde Barber said the Bucs win if they hold Lamar Jackson & Derrick Henry to 175 yards….

I don’t see that happening either. I want the Bucs to win, but if they don’t, it’s not the end of the world. We need to see this as a game to run some tests on things like our RB depth, and working out some different attack strategies in the passing game. The 2 upcoming conference opponents should be our main focus. Having our roster & schemes prepared to beat one, or both, of them is what is most important.

This game should just be about taking whoever is healthy - on offense and defense - and play with house money to see what might work should we see one of the next two AFC opponents in the post season.

You don’t win points by making statement games. Thats for gamblers & fantasy football types.

Developing our roster & concepts to win a championship is what this is about.
