1. Fire Jason Licht
Not happy with the job he's done. His crown jewel is Ali Marpet. Evans has regressed. So has Kwon. He signed Michael Johnson, Alteraun Vernor, Anthony Collins, Chris Baker, TJ Ward. He drafted Roberto Aguayo in round 2. We need better, should have retained Robinson [Titans].
2. Retain Koetter/Swap Mike Smith for Rex Ryan
Play calling duties go to Todd Monken. Koetter has his hands tied. We took Winston (he openly preferred Mariota) and he's trying his best with him. We needed a new RB and a pass rush, he did not get those things. More reason why Licht is ousted. Yes, the offense has appeared flat but I blame it more on the target of point #3. Mike Smith has to go and Rex Ryan would be a godsend as a DC despite the obnoxious past.
3. Trade Winston/Draft Baker Mayfield
Winston has the ability. He does not have the maturity, poise, or decision making. He can make amazing plays but struggles to do so with the consistency required of an NFL QB. Koetter with a better QB serves us better long term than Jameis with a 'better' coach. Jameis can still fetch a couple first rounders for the new GM to retool the defense, and we can draft Baker Mayfield at the top of round 2.
