I believe his version of the story this time
wow, didn’t see that coming
lol
I pretty much don't believe most anything that AB says. He lives in an alternate reality.
JC doesnt believe him either UNLESS believing him is convenient for one of JC's convoluted "they shoudlv'e done this . . like I would have . . as a BIG TIME GM."
Love the production that he gave us especially in the super bowl run but honestly he f'ed us by quitting and not being there. He was the reason we didnt go back to back.
He sure could play though so kudos to Brady for bringing him in and keeping him focused that long.
Made a big mistake in 2021 though. Should have just sat him until the playoffs and paid him his incentives instead of making him play injured, which caused the blow up.
He claims he was injured. Arians denied that saying the team doctors said he was healed. Also, if the player doesn't want to play, the coach can't make him play. Remember his media tour about suing the Bucs, Arians, etc? Funny that it was never filed meaning that no lawyer would take the case without huge retainer fee which tells you how believable his case was
He was injured, he missed a bunch of time even without the suspension. You don't miss that much time and just be magically "healed" like you say. I believe his version of the story this time. He was injured, they shot him up and told him he would get targets like the Carolina game, he wasn't getting targets, shot started wearing off, he exploded. Whole thing could have been avoided and he would have played in the playoffs vs the Rams and we probably win the Super Bowl.
after what has transpired in the AB saga, was it at all possible he was milking that injury that happened in the eagles game (in which nobody saw the injury occur) to make him miss half the season?
In terms of resting him. If you recall, we were down Godwin and fournette and battling for playoff position. Would homefield not be critical in a matchup against a team has that owned us in the Rams?
Yes, a healthy wirfs and mentally stable AB and we beat the rams. Unfortunately, AB was a ticking time bomb. He Could have been the story of the playoffs but he wasn’t visionary enough to think properly. It was only a matter of time and nothing we could have done to prevent it.
looking back on that season, the only regrets I see are the Bucs drafting a back up QB and kick returner with their top 4 selections, picks that maybe could have been depth in secondary, etc to make us get #1 seed, not play in first round (no wirfs injury) and that there.

Don't really understand why there's so many people supporting a method that was clearly not well thought out and blew up. He was a ticking time bomb, so why pressure him to play injured? Cut him his incentive check and tell him to be ready for the playoffs.

I thought that was exactly how resting an injury works. You have injury. You rest that injury. You get better. Silly me.
What that said, your point about sitting Brown isn't the most ridiculous thing you've ever said. But the dude caught 10 balls on 15 targets for over 100 yards the previous week. The 2.5 months of rest worked pretty well. Obviously, he could physically play. If the doctors are clearing him to play, he needs to play - even if it's in a limited capacity.
Resting/rehab/treatment until you're ready to get back on the field doesn't mean you're healed. Depending on the player and injury they'll take the shot and play injured. If we had beaten the Rams Wirfs would have played injured vs the 49ers. Doesnt mean he was healed. According to AB he told them he needed to rest until the playoffs and Arians and Brady pressured him into play, guaranteeing him targets. Now he's playing injured and he's not getting targets. The only defense you guys have is that everyone hates AB so you don't believe him. His version of events makes 100% sense. Not that he should have done what he did, but they asked for it.

good grief
in the same post you said this:
According to AB
WELL . . .according to AB . . he was NOT an owner of the Albany Arena team:
"According to documents provided to the Times Union by Brown’s camp, the team is owned by Antonio El-Allah Express Trust Enterprise, and Brown has no personal ownership or control over the team. … Empire team president Alberony Denis and a lawyer named Marlon Oliveira said in a phone call Monday night that a foreign citizen named Antonio El-Allah is the trustee.”
It’s at this point where the story takes a sharp left turn. Rubel shared the contents of the letter as A.B. begins to refer to himself as “a foreign national.”
“‘I Brown, Antonio Tavaris a foreign national but not a citizen of the United States at birth, am writing to you regarding recent reports that have been circulating in the media regarding my supposed ownership of the Albany Empire team,’ the letter begins. ‘I want to make it very clear that I am not the owner of this team, and any claims to the contrary are completely false.’”
he letter concludes, “While the Trust have 100 percent ownership stake in the ALBANY EMPIRE, I myself do not have any ownership or control over the team.” It is then signed electronically by a John Williams, “Foreign Trustee, For Antonio El-Allah Express trust on behalf of: Antonio Tavaris Brown.”
Rubel adds that Williams’ name is “flanked by the words ‘No prejudice … no recourse’ — phrasing that might be intended to signal the letter could not be used in a civil legal matter.”
Rubel later reports that according to Denis and Oliveira, Antonio El-Allah Express Trust is connected to … wait for it … “Big Boomin Investment Co. LLC.” That’s a company Brown established in Dubai to facilitate his investments.
At a team news conference Wednesday afternoon, Brown (a foreign national) was asked who Antonio El-Allah might be, he said, “That’s a good question.” But he refused to offer any more details.
PEOPLE WHO DISCOUNT WHAT BROWN SAYS DONT 'HATE' HIM . . THEY UNDERSTAND HE HAS A LONG HISTORY OF LYING . . AND POSSIBLY MENTAL ILLNESS
JC . . . clinging to AB's story suits your routine troll. That statement is not 'hating' on you . . its just recognizing the OBVIOUS

I'm certainly not saying Antonio Brown was 100% healthy in January of the NFL season. Few players are. But he was healthy enough to play.
The only defense you guys have is that everyone hates AB so you don't believe him.
This isn't true either, as the fact that he played well vs. Carolina the previous week is evidence that he was healthy enough to play and play well backs up the position most people are taking on this issue.
His version of events makes 100% sense.
Over the last five years, how many times would you say Antonio Brown's version of events make 100% sense?
You may need to reevaluate your position.

but you ignored my commentary on him milking an injury
he got "hurt" in week 6, so hurt that he completed the game. He then did not play the rest of the season, only to come back for the Carolina and Jets game.
AB has said on podcast subsequent the season how he had to play for vet minimum but Brady got his boy Gronk money etc. AB was clearly being a disgruntled employee on the situation and milking an injury.
in week 15, we were sitting at 10-4, just lost Lenny for the rest of the regular season and Godwin for the whole season. We needed an offensive boost and for the guy that just took half the season off because he wasn't getting paid enough. He comes back, first game and tops 100 yards.
We were staring down the barrel of having to travel to LA in which we would be a complete disadvantage. We needed to win out.
Would it have made it better if AB pulled his bullshit in the playoffs? likely not. because it was going to happen. He was not hurt, he was being a dickhead clearly. but yeah take the view point that the mentally insane guy....was in fact sane.
i could see being uncertain of this back when it happened but now that we've had time to reflect and see AB's x account is, shocked anyone would see differently
If you don't think AB was actually injured then we're not having a conversation.
If you don't think AB was actually injured then we're not having a conversation.
have yourself an enlightening moment and Google “Tom Brady text to Antonio brown” and you see that back in May 2021, after our superbowl victory and prior to Bucs resigning AB; there is as clearly some turmoil and concerns that Brady had about how AB was acting
Clearly AB was not happy about the contract and money he was receiving
His heart wasn’t in it despite being a hall of famer caliber level.
but yeah I guess I’m the gullible one here, trusting the guy that had a fake Covid vax card.
In the real world, the person advocating AB's claim = truth bears the burden of backing it up because AB has a long list of very public lies tied to his name.
On the Red Board though, AB is truth and anyone disagreeing is only disagreeing because they hate AB.
LMAO
quality stuff
You may need to reevaluate your position.
Imagine all the hills to die on. And, for this clown, there's been a number.
But, apparently, the one he is choosing is...checks notes...AB is an honest individual.
LOLZ!
There was a series of events that led to him leaving the team. What you guys are doing is ignoring all of the things the team (Brady and Arians) did and blaming it all on AB because he's AB.
There was a path to AB playing the playoffs. They chose a different path that backfired. When you guys are given the path that would have led to AB playing in the playoffs you will make every excuse to not hear it.
There was a path to AB playing the playoffs.
Yeah.
It was to simply play ball and not be a self-destructive, self-entitled douche canoe.
He opted to do the opposite.
It’s not rocket science, but by all means, keep eating the cheese.

Your idea was just not playing AB until playoffs, give him money for sitting out the whole season and hoping he’s the difference maker in playoffs? I have that right?
If 3 months didn’t cure this “ankle injury”, are we suggesting another 3 weeks would have made him healthy? That is an assumption you are using correct?
why would Bucs doctors say he was cleared to go? Are we conspiracy theorist and putting ourselves with reputable AB?
There’s two sides of the spectrum - your side which believes AB was injured in the jets game and my spectrum - he was milking an injury for the whole season because he felt underpaid. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle
the Bucs needed all hands on deck and AB straight up self destructed. There was even rumblings he was telling some girl the night before “watch what I do tomorrow”. Was his retirement from the NFL planned?
AB wanted money and fame and his heart was no longer in football.
