Wirfs

leverett

hainsey/jensen

stinnie/hainsey

goedeke

isnt the worse line as the biggest hole is Luke but he did pretty well in Atlanta at his old spot

we do need some vets around though for Leadership so keeping guys like David and white will keep the D in tact. Our secondary I like. Barrett might be gone Achilles loses his first step aging and a bit overweight

Nelson can be worth 5m-7m a year for 3 years I see a lot of potential in his games good in coverage and can be our gregspires

The way Brady talks, I have a feeling he'll be back. If we need a new OC without having to make Brady and the offense learn a new system, they could simply elevate someone on the offensive coaching staff. Preferably, someone who has a better thought process when it comes to attacking defenses by mixing things up and tweaking route trees for certain coverages to get receivers open by forcing defenders to play safe or overcommit. Someone who knows how to mix up the run game with play-action passing and stay away from things we suck at. Just doing those things alone would turn this offense back into a high scoring one. It's not really a talent issue. Plus, if we went into next season with Godwin back to full speed and Gage healthy, that's a great 1-3 group, as we can see that Gage can be a playmaker when healthy. We do need to get a 6' or taller receiver that is sub 4.5 to help stretch teams more.

But at the end of the day, if Brady decides to leave, go with Trask and either prove him out or show that he can't do it. Have to know for sure and move on if he's not, or build around him if he is. But I think Brady will do another year here.

I don't fault Licht for pushing money into the future in order to take another shot at a Superbowl.  The vast majority of Bucs fans were fine with that plan before the season started.  You have the GOAT on your team, you owe it to the fans to do whatever you can to get another Superbowl before he calls it quits.  So Licht did what he could do by pushing contract money into future years and signing guys Brady wanted like Jones. But we have to pay the piper in 2023.  There's over $50 mil expired contracts counting against a cap projected to be $220 mil, so 23% of the cap goes to expired contracts.  It doesn't matter if you resign any of those players or not.  That money is for past contracts.   Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on my interpretation of that information from Spotrac.  But is Licht to blame?  No.  He's not to blame that the player didn't live up to expectations.

Using void years to sign Brady and David is one thing. But Akiem Hicks is costing us $5M next year. Julio $3.5M. Russell Gage has a $12.2M cap number next year!! We drafted Jensen's replacement then signed him for a ridiculous contract.

I think there is a shot Brady is back. Going to another team is fun but he might want to stick to Tampa. We have good things going on here too. I think its not the end of the world if he doesn't come back. We can get a different starter and be ok if we want to go that direction but maybe a rebuild isn't awful idea. We just know that doesn't always work out. I like being aggressive and trying to win like new Orleans has been doing forever.

Payton, Brady and Gronk to Indy.

They plan on getting into the corn business or something?, surely you can't mean the Colts

Yes, I mean the Colts. My reasons for thinking that.

1. The Saints hold the contractual rights to Payton. They want draft picks in return and are more likely to let Payton go to an AFC team. Indy has many of the assets needed to be successful and are in the weak AFC South. (Indy, Jacksonville, Houston Tennessee). It would be easy for Payton to become successful there. Much easier than any other HC opening. Payton doesn't want to go to a team that can't be immediately successful.

2. Payton and Brady tried to get a package deal with Miami last year. No reason to believe they won't try to do that again.

3. If Gronk does come out of retirement he would do so with a team QB'd by Brady.

1. Nothing to be gained by going to the AFC, sure the south is weak but so is the NFC south... so that's a wash. Furthermore the AFC is the stronger conference come playoff time. Better chance of success in the NFC for Brady at least with so little time left and the immediate future. Also seems counter productive for SP to go to a team that used draft picks to get him and then sign a 1 MAYBE 2 year QB who could be on the decline.. then what?? Gonna wish you had those picks...Rodgers or Carr are better options it gives him a chance to win now but also a few years to figure it out. If Brady doesn't work out or the season is shit its back to square one. Don't think he would set himself up like that.

2. the package deal you speak of was more about him trying to have his cake and eat it to. What I mean is I think the only way Gisele would continue to support Tom playing and remain married was if he could manage to do it in Miami where they were building a home. Payton was just a bonus not the main motivator.

3. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?, Gronk doesn't have anything to do with Indy. Why would either of them at an advanced age want to play on artificial turf if they can avoid it?

The market for Brady is less than its ever been, not saying there aren't teams who would love to have him but long term there are better options.

Additionally, 5 teams have requested an interview with SP. Cards, Broncos, Texans, Panthers and Colts....he has reportedly granted 3 of them an interview, Colts and the Panthers didn't make the cut.

The Saints are the ones who granted permission for the interviews with the three teams, because those teams are on board with the compensation package that the Saints are looking for.

Teddy Bruschi madly respects Brady but says he’s seen too much ugly this season to think the Bucs are better than the Cowboys.

“I show [Brady] dirting balls like he’s done in the past, “Bruschi ranted, as if he wanted to get Dak Prescott in a room and yell at him not to be nervous. “I’d show [Brady] making bad decisions. I’d show him off-schedule with Mike Evans because he’s got his own problems, too.”

Truth hurts

That you Philly fans let Brady live rent free in those little domes of yours?

That’s a sad way to live, Mr. “3,490 > 4,610”.

Nah.

Just like slapping around the collective group of bitches they call a fan base.

Most particularly, the ones who troll these boards.
