I know Oregon blew out FSU the other night because I watched it...Many of you think (automatically) that since Marcus won, then that's who you should go with for the #1 pick...Even more of you don't like the accusations placed on Winston and consider him a "thug" (whatever that means)...No. Ben Roethlisberger is more of an alleged "thug" (OUTSIDE AND IN court) than Winston...Winston was found "NOT GUILTY", WHILE Big Ben "SETTLED"...Not saying a settlement is an "accusation of guilt", but compare the two RESULTS...As much as Winston was "demonized", do you really think he would get a pass if he was found GUILTY? WOMEN SMELL MONEY AND STATUS FROM MILES AWAY...HOW MUCH CONFIDENCE DO YOU REALLY HAVE IN THIS MYSTERIOUS WOMAN WHO MADE THESE ACCUSATIONS???In 2014-2015, have COLLEGE GIRLS NOW BECOME NUNS???Did Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, heck even Alex Smith NOT get any free perks around town because of their status??? But somehow Winston was BLATANTLY FILMED receiving FREE CRAB LEGS RIGHT???Nothing going on with this character assassination type stuff right??? OK...His 4.0+ grade average makes me think he's probably not dumb, maybe somewhat immature (with the knowledge of how he could be berated for things because of HIS STATUS) , but not dumb...MAYBE SOME OF YOU DON'T LIKE THAT HE HAS STATUS... HE IS NOW FORCED TO GROW UP QUICKLY (other than quite a few of you who were quite WILD at his age. Never mind his tremendous responsibility he handles with a few blurps that get publicized) BECAUSE THERE ARE THOSE WHO HATE HIM NATURALLY JUST BECAUSE OF UNDUE SPOTLIGHT...Many other #1 prospects have done much much worse...In that game the other night, Mariotta was driving the proverbial NASCAR "pedal to the metal" in a FERRARI...Winston was driving a BUICK...RB's fumbling all over the place, WR's dropping key long-range passes (setting up short fields for Oregon), and the defense couldn't stop a handicapped flea...But you want Mariotta right??? LOLLLL!!!!But oh wait, Winston ARGUED on the sideline with his coach - "he must have a bad attitude" - you might say...GIVE ME THE AUDIO OF WHAT HE SAID FOR YOU TO LABEL IT "BAD MANNERS"... If anything, I think it was a passionate and frustrated discussion and trying to formulate strategy while losing in a game...What was going WRONG at that point from a QB perspective??? If there was something, wouldn't you want your QB to passionately get that across to his coach (as well as his players)???Some of ya'll are FREAKING STOOOOOOOOPID...... And Prejudiced...I saw Winston make at least 10-15 ACCURATE throws into TIGHT COVERAGE that Marcus never had to make ALL NIGHT...Oh, and the bumble-fumble??? He slipped... That was on 4th and 2 or something where he HAD to do something, ANYTHING to make a play. I saw FSU DEFENDERS prior to that, slipping and sliding on the field ALL NIGHT.My opinion is that the whole team was wearing the wrong type of cleats... BUT IT'S JUST A THEORY FOR YOU TO ENTERTAIN...Mariotta was driving a Ferrari that night, Winston was driving a Buick, but APPARENTLY, you couldn't see Winston's tight throws, pocket-presence, or WILL TO WIN...29 STRAIGHT GAMES WON... 29 GAMES MAN think about it... THAT IS TOM BRADY STATUS in collegiate football...But never-mind, he looks too much like all the other "thugs" out there. Let's be safe and pick the Bubble-Screen guy... We will win the NFC South with that non-passionate-stoned-faced-uninspiring unless you're winning-SYSTEM-guy... Yep, forget Winston's intangibles, let's go Mariotta... :-/
