Just watched every snap from the Alabama game and here is what I thought....Cons:1. Very similar to RGIII, Manziel relies on his running ability far far to often.2. He takes many hits and will eventually get hurt.3. His offense throws many very short WR screen type of passes, this inflates his completion percentage, think Geno Smith situation.4. On numerous occasions he chose to not pull the trigger on open receivers and run to extend the play.5. He on occasion can shy away from hits and throws off his back foot.6. He frequently feels the pressure where there is none and leaves the pocket prematurely.7. Frequently throws the ball across his body when scrambling to the outside back to the middle of the field.Pros:1. Good accuracy2. Adequate arm strength3. At times shows very good pocket mobility, IE not running but moving slightly in the pocket.4. Durable5. Seems to be able to work his progression (I say seems because without an all 22, how much can you really tell).Overall view of JFF:May be more of a project that many people think. He makes some amazing looking plays and people fall in love with it but I don't think it translates the same to the NFL. I see glaring holes in his game that are covered up by his elite ability and athleticism. I don't think they will be as easily covered up in the NFL. He will have to function at a pocket passer and the called runs can't happen, we've seen this playout with RGIII.Here is a clip that more accurately shows exactly what I mean. Right off the snap, JFF has two WR open to throw to. The most inside running a slant route which is open and the 2nd, just outside the first, running what looks to be a 5 yard in route. Both guys are open and either would have been a good decision. He fails to throw the ball on time and instead elects to unneccesarily leave the pocket and scramble. He makes a great play by breaking the potential sack but then makes his 2nd bad decision of the play by lofting the football up for grabs into the middle of the field. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wp_qz5Pcy8 It was a sportscenter highlight and is the reason so many love the kid but it simply won't work in the NFL. I've also seen him hit the back of his drop and deliver on time in the pocket but plays like the one I'm showing you are game changers and not for the better. As Greg Cosell says, creating plays outside the framework of the play are random by nature and can't result in long term success. Again, I was warming up to JFF and expected to be all in on him but I just can't do it.

I think he's more of a project than our very own Mike Glennon.

I think he would put butts in the seats which is definitely something the Glazers need to do, but I do think Glennon will be better next year. Manziel may have a higher ceiling, but Glennon has the higher floor.

It doesn't matter who the QB is when this team is losing.Glennon gives this organization a higher chance to succeed. It's a shame many here are so blind to the fact.

Many on here would like to have superstars at every position. Unrealistic expectations.

I like Glennon a lot and have zero problems going forward with him.But Manziel is special. His mobility, his accuracy, and his feel for the game are unmatched. I think he and Bridgewater are the best QBs to come out in a long time, even better than Luck and RG3 before the knee problem. And mobile QBs don't get hurt running. They get hurt in the pocket. Just like Manning's neck, Brady's knee, Aaron Murray and Zach Metenberger, and etc etc. Mike Vick when he broke his leg was in the pocket.Manziel is very good at avoiding the big hit.

I will, thanks.

I hope Lovie and new GM will make the moves that give this team the best chance to win. Signing people to sell tickets is short sighted, IMO. The only thing that sells out long term is championships.

I'm actually hoping Jacksonville takes him, figuring Bridgewater  goes to Houston.     IMO, we've only seen the tip of the iceberg on Glennon's ceiling. Manziel definely looks to me to rely on his feet too much, and has decision-making issues. Glennon even as a rookie did quite well with decision-making, and will only get better with experience in a better offensive scheme.

EXACTLY!  Popularity is short-lived without the W's to fuel it...

Glennon deserves a chance to run with the 1s all year. He has earned it, in my opinion. Anybody who can put up respectable stats with that O-Line and that Coordinator deserves a shot.

I don't know man, he is a special college player, I'm just unsure if that same type of game will work long term. He does have great mobility but that isn't a huge plus for me. He does seem to be accurate although I don't buy your same feeling about it being unmatched. He might not take "the big hit" but I only saw him slide once in all his carries and even the smaller hits are going to get him hurt eventually. I think all those other things he does are great and helpful, but if and only if the QB is a pocket passer first and foremost. We all saw Jeff Garcia continuously miss the open receiver when running for an 8 yard gain. Looks great on TV but is actually a bad play if he gave up a chance at a 20 yard completion for a scramble. That's why I like Teddy so much, because he is clearly a pocket passer 1st!

I'd love to see 3 QB's go in front of us, push those other top prospects down the board.
