Time will tell I guess but I see several red flags with JFF. Maybe he'll continue to improve and work past those things. It's really not that crazy though.
Have we not seen QBs like this in the past? Have any of them succeeded at the Pro-Level?Please don't say Cam Newton. Those two are like apples and oranges. Newton is a beast of a man who can hold up to the hits. Plus, he has been and still is a work in progress. Manziel is a talented and exciting player but mark my words, his decision making and style of play will not translate into success at the Pro-Level. What do you think will happen when he launches those ducks into the middle of coverage in the NFL. This kid, if made a starter, will lead the league in turnovers.

Based on what? How many NLF snaps has Manziel taken? How about you tell us WHY he will be better than Glennon. How about you actually take some time and post something with substance to make you case....not just "because Glennon sucks."

I'm sure he's just taking his time to write a well thought out and formulated response to add to our discussion.
Well, what is the most comparable? College stats? ...of course we're not talking nfl. Of course we could say glennon's better, but I'm not into excuses. Fact is, he's average, and you don't risk a very good qb going past you, if there are questions with your current qb. That's where we stand, and I'm assuming lovie, with his previous experiences with qb's, will feel somewhat the same. I'm just not sure HE would want manziel.
I'm on the "wouldn't touch Manziel with a 10 foot pole" bandwagon. I agree with the others in that I just don't see his game working in the pros. His nickname will go from Johnny Football to Johnny Turnover- atleast until he gets his head dislocated.....

I love how you think you know what Glennon's roof is after less than one year of starting but can also make a huge sweeping generalization that JFF will a very good NFL QB without having ever played a NFL snap. If Lovie is half the coach I hope he is, he won't touch Manziel with our 7th pick. I'd be hesitant to take him at 39.
I know the guy isn't nearly as impressive as you would like him to be.And keeping glennon as starter will sink lovie's ship. Sorry, but I seriously doubt lovie would waste his time on this guy.
Manziel WAS very good at avoiding the big hit.

He is not that accurate. He relies on his mobility for coverage to break down and for guys to get open. As far as recent mobile QBs, he certainly is not the passer that RGIII or Wilson are. He has that "it" factor for sure, and seems to make something out of nothing, but if he is getting beat up running around in college, it doesn't bode well for the pros. His stud WR Mike Evans reminds me of a young Vjax.On a side note, everyone is trashing RGIII, but he put up one of the best statistical seasons for a rookie QB in NFL history last year, and took a garbage team to the playoffs. He struggled this year coming back from a knee injury suffered in a playoff game. Revis still wasn't 100% this year and he got hurt in like week 3 of the same year.

Several of this seasons playoff teams, don't have a superstar at QB, just sayin.
I agree let Glennon get going, Johnny phew!, RGlll back up Cousins is better, I think hes under estimated.... Johnny football and RGIII all flash no fireworks
