I know the topic of keeping Jameis or not is controversial and with all controversial topics (like politics) you will get extremes on both ends. Blurbs/thoughts from those extremes is what is usually in the headlines because it is what catches attention and people talk about, making it seem like everyone is an extremist. When realistically the majority of people sit somewhere in the middle. I would say I’m firmly one of those people that sits in the middle and trust Bruce and co to make the best decision for the BUCCANEERS, and will accept that decision regardless of what it is.
1. Tagging Jameis
2. Letting Jameis walk and getting a bridge QB in here via FA (I admittedly don’t get very excited about many of those options)
3. Letting Jameis walk and get shiny new rookie QB
4. Acquiring someone via trade
5. Signing Jameis long term (can’t see this happening and it would be the toughest pill to swallow)
I personally fall squarely in the tag Jameis and spend draft equity on a QB boat. I’m even open to the idea of it being a 1st round QB.
With that said, I trust Bruce and Co to make the best decision. Ultimately the best decision to me has to balance short term success (truly think we are playoff contenders as soon as next year) without mortgaging our future.
Another Jameis thread likely not needed, correction, certainly not needed, but I’m curious how many non extremist there are on this board that have faith in Bruce and co and will support whatever decision this org makes.
