Because Tedford is a QB guru.
I have already smashed the Glennon supporters with the fact that Glennon played his rookie season under a set of rules that is designed to give the QB 300 yard games
Only Manning and Brees averaged 300 yards per game or more. Cut everyone else!
Since there are some Buc fans who aren't sold on Glennon, but at least want to see what a competent coaching staff could do with him, and there are others who believe we need to ship his keister out of Tampa yesterday, I'm curious what Buc fans would say about a qb who did this:in two years on the roster, played in 19 games, had roughly a 53% completion percentage, 3217 yards, 11 tds, 21 picks, and a 3-16 record in those games, would you keep him if the coaching staff sucked eggs? And yes, I'm talking about Steve Young, and no, I'm not saying Glennon is comparable to Steve Young skill set wise, only that the Bucs were badly coached when Young was there, and he was rescued by one heck of a coach out in SF.
That said nothing will change this year. In the entire history of the Buc's organization what QB's have they successfully coached? There's just no track record of it happening .....EVER! Why would that change for Glennon?
Honestly, other than Gruden, have the Bucs had a coach in place that has had any success in their pedigree, on the offensive side of the ball? I guess I'm more hoping that this offensive minded O.C. Tedford can gameplan around Glennon's strenghs (and fix Glennon's weaknesses/mask them), and allow us to fix another hole, like a DE or WR, I agree our luck with offensive minded coaches has been offensive over the years, but I'm hoping Tedford is the real deal and we can fix two holes by not having to grab a qb at #7

We're all hoping Tedford will work out. It's just hard to be optimistic given most college coaches fail in the NFL and the Buc's have never been able to get it to work offensively like other teams have. The question we're all wondering is if Glennon is the man Tedford wants behind center and if so how can he mentor Glennon so we win games. Another under .500 season is the last thing anyone wants.
Because Tedford is a QB guru.
I hope he's as good as billed.

Those two points are my biggest concerns, since he got Kyle Boller, Akili Smith and other "bombs" into the NFL. (but the fact that he got results out of them, makes he hopeful he is a good gameplanner)As Buc Fans, I think we all hope he can put a guy under center that will help lead the team back to the playoffs. Whether that guy is Glennon or not, is to be seen, I'm only hoping its him, so the team can use their pick on another need.
Yeah. Making bums look like 1st rounders is a plus for him in my book.

A few posters on this board made me think of it that way. At first I was thinking "good lord, he sent those crap piles to the NFL", but some of you made me rethink it as, if he schemed enough to get them to the NFL, maybe he isn't bad. Hopefully his schemes will work against NFL defenses.

I have the same feeling, but it's college, not nfl.But all indications are that he can help. That's definitely a start. And much better than previous oc's we've had. Heck, going by his track record alone, he's already one of the best we've had at OC.
Greatest ever, crown him!
Glennon will be a quality back up, but he won't win many games for this franchise. Hopefully the new staff is smart enough to realize Glennon isn't a franchise Superbowl winning QB.
Who are the franchise Super Bowl winning qbs in today's nfl?

I guess that all depends on whether or not he actually had a huge hand in choosing the qb's he's coached up?Personally, I don't believe lovie would risk having yet another qb, worse than cutler mind you, running his offense. At the very least, lovie is going to get "his" qb, whether it's in the first round, or later.

This of course is the opinion of someone who posts on a message board. I ,and a few others on here, would prefer to see Glennon get his shot on the football field. Is this okay with you? We can all still keep our day jobs however it turns out and maybe buy a condo or two along the way next door to "takethat". :)

He had his shot last year. It is time to turn the page on that 4-9 QB. But hey if Coach Smith and Coach Tedford want to roll with Glennon I will roll with them.

He was a rookie. Yes, he needs to improve in a few areas. This is where good coaching comes in. Even McCoy spoke out in support of Glennon yesterday. I'm sure he wants to win next season. He could have said nothing.
