Im no Glennon supporter, but if this were the mentality of NFL execs, some the majority of the greatest QBs to ever play the game would be nobodies.

FWIW, Sean Payton said today in an interview on Fox that the Saints were very high on Glennon going into the draft. I really don't know what to think about Glennon yet, but I'd think they know a thing or two about good quarterbacks. Just found that comment interesting. Here's hoping for the best in 2014.

To clarify, the question to Payton was not "what do you think of Mike Glennon?" It was about the state of the NFC South. He didn't have to mention him at all. The mere fact that they WOULD have drafted Glennon, regardless of what pick they used, indicates that they saw qualities in him that they have seen in Brees. Now we just have to wait and see. No one wants Mike Glennon to succeed more than Mike Glennon.
