Now JJ Roberts is out on IR to join David Walker. Winfield should be ready for Week 1. I'm sure this isn't disproportional and every team has injuries like this or worse. But it still sucks.
Yeah injuries suck and are part of the game
the most gut wrenching I can remember in recent memory was our 2021 season and that 9-0 loss to the saints. We were looking great and on our way to potential superbowl run and Godwin and Fournette injuries were devastating
this year, guys like walker and Roberts not end of world as the wirfs injury has me concerned the most and most impactful
I think Wirfs will only miss a couple weeks.the wirfs injury has me concerned the most and most impactful
Bridgewater with the hospital ball to Mccmillan. Why are we playing starters????
What is the word on McMillan, any updates???

Yeah I don't get it... Especially with a smaller player

Yup. I haven't been too impressed with Heck.
Heck is fine as a stop gap.
Bigger problem is that if McMillan and izien can't go for game 1 that makes things dicey. But McMillan is young and they will give him extra rest till opening day. Izien fortunately has other players that can step up in his stead util he heals up.
Shiloh will likely make the roster now
Sports have always been next man up.
especially football.
If forced to choose would rather have injuries in August then January.
Well stopping gaps was a little challenging for him last night. It seems like Chukwuma's #70 was in the game a lot and not just the 2nd half. It's wishful thinking that he'll be taking the LT spot from Heck to start with, but I'd be surprised if he's not on the 53 man roster. They are obviously trying to get him ready to contribute early on.Heck is fine as a stop gap.
As for McMillan I think he's probably just a little sore ... hopefully.
Heck is fine as a stop gap.
I’m not as confident. He looks bad.
Skule wasn’t winning any awards, but he’s better than Heck by quite a bit. It would have been worth the extra $430k to re-sign him - for this exact scenario.
Skule looked rough in some stretches too but I wouldn't bank on either one long term. Grizzard already showed a little bit how he is going to help out Heck and is holding back a lot.

Heck was atrocious.
Actually, Barton on over to the left looked like shit.
