They are not that bad injury wise which is why the Bucs strategy to play starters in the 2nd pre season game buys them time to heal up for the season or early season if there is injuries. Other teams play starters in the final pre season game which I think is too close to the regular season and far more riskier.
@bucsbits Mahomes looked amazing yesterday, he was quicker getting the ball out than he has been the last couple seasons and his deep ball looked like it did when he was in his sophomore season. Losing the Superbowl may have made Mahomes focus more during this offseason.
Watching him yesterday made me wonder if hes gonna be a very good option in Fantasy Football. I had ignored him when it comes to FF prospects but he moved up my rankings yesterday, (my draft is Monday night)
I still want Baker, but Mahomes wont be a bad back up plan of he gets sniped before I can grab him, I also hope I can get Bucky again, Baker and Bucky basicly carried me to the Championship game last year.
Mahomes played 3 series
injuries suck but they are part of football
I was actually surprised when he trotted out for the third series. But in retrospect, it made sense. In a couple weeks they're going to be out there for 65+ snaps in a game that counts. They needed the reps.
Kind of hoping we see similar in tonight's game. our starters need to get in some reps together. I know (pretty sure I read this) that that probably won't happen, but personally, I'd rather see the 1s get in a quarter and a half together before the bullets really start flying.
Last season there was some trolling of Bowles with the classic OFFSEASON "anything less than 10 wins was failure." THIS season might end up showing why stuff like that is just dumb trolling, given that Wirfs, Godwin and McMillan are out at the start here.
Hope we still start strong. A win against the Falcons would be huge. Can we get thats same running game going, without Wirfs, and all the film out there?
