Something that Coach Todd Bowles stated yesterday after the game when he was asked about Baker Mayfield's game and how he does what he does and He said "Instinct". You can't teach it. It's in you and I have to think about how many teams didn't recognize it in Baker Mayfield and discarded him as washed up just to replace him with the shinny new QB. I want to thank Coach Bowles for his recognition of seeing the talent that Baker Mayfield has. You just don't discard a Heisman trophy winner because your team doesn't fit around him. A QB is a franchise player and you build around that. Luckily we had the arsenal here that Baker Mayfield never had or wasn't given the keys too start the motor and get the gears running to build a quality long term season. Tom Brady knew of our arsenal and that's one of the reasons for coming to TB plus the other millions $$$...lol.
Instinct...God given talent that comes with the right Leadership to be displayed when the going gets tough the tough gets going. Yesterday with 5 sacks Instinct still took over and played. Talent took over and complimented instinct to lead to another victory. The combinations of talent and instinct when things aren't coming together with just looks and action. When your QB runs like the wind and plays like a champion the whole team looks and compliments it by following great Leadership to allow great results.
Nice Job Coach Todd Bowles for your recognition and your staff. As well as Baker Mayfield you are the Man!! Now on to the next game and what a crescendo to build off of.

I mean he does show glimpse of winning and the makings of a top 10 QB in this league
we are seeing the best of Baker this year and the last half of last year. I’m happy to see it carry over to this year after getting paid
now it’s only been 2 games but good to see things clicking particularly with a new coordinator
Baker performed pretty admirable in the playoffs last year and he seems confident. Let’s keep it going
You want to talk about instinct? Tykee Smith is exactly what this defense was missing as a NCB. Looks like Bowles finally found his pieces to play the zone defense he has been wanting to run for years.
