interesting comments on Revis

So sportcenter posed a question on my Facebook page asking if Revis was worth 12 mil a yr and the majority responded with a big fat "NO" stating he was washed up, lost his step, how many kids in Africa we can feed with that money, blah, blah. So my question(which never got answered btw), why do baseball and basketball players on average get a bigger reward for less risk and we don't scream bloody murder yet let a pro football player get an equivalent salary, or even worse, let a college player accept a dinner invite and it's a big problem?Double standard?
