The Bucs are ranked 2nd in the league in yards per pass completion at 13 yards per catch, behind only the Cardinals. What makes this so impressive is the fact that the Bucs also rank 29th in the league in yards after the catch.Winston has been able to make some big throws down the field(57 pass plays of over 20 yards this season), but his receivers have been unable to consistently make more yardage out of these catches. How many times do you see receivers take short slant passes to the house for long touchdown plays, or break a few tackles and score on short passes? Pretty much every week. Off the top of my head I can only think of a few times this has happened for the Bucs. Mike Evans agaisnt the Giants and Charles Sims a few times on some screen passes. If the Winston can get better at hitting his receivers deep on those Go-routes, and if his receivers can make more plays with the ball in their hands, this offense has the potential to be explosive. Yards per game can be deceiving, but the Bucs did finish 5th in the league in yards per game and 3rd in the league in yards per play. This is impressive for an injury riddled offense led by a rookieStats from here: http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/tmleaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=231 http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/tmleaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=056
