I am so sorry but I can't get hyped up on assumptions until I actually see these players against opposing opponents. Is it too much to ask not to over hype them and give it a rest till preseason comes around? I don't mean to be a Debbie downer but we all know that the first rounders wont play till the second game of preseason and only for the first half. Once they go full on then I will be getting excited to see the hammer of the Buc's come down on our opponents. Thoughts????
Definitely a lot of hometown hype for the Bucs, even if the national media has been lukewarm for the most part. The positivity is justified on the offensive side based on the fact that they had impressive production last year and are getting everybody back (except the OC).I am so sorry but I can't get hyped up on assumptions until I actually see these players against opposing opponents. I think the biggest overhype is the new acquisitions on defense and how they're supposed to have this turned around. Short term free agents are notorious for being busts, but everyone here seems to be confident that they will all fill their roles nicely. Rookies usually take time to develop, and sometimes they never do. It's a lot to expect them to be big contributors in their first year, but that's what is being expected. When it comes to the defense, I'm in agreement with you. I think we can hope and expect to see marginal improvement, but people are a little overconfident that Bowles has the defense fixed. Typical for preseason though.
