Let me start this by saying Luke Kuechly is a very good football player. I was shocked to learn he won DPOY. During a thread this season I said that he might be the 4th best MLB we have seen in a month. I was referring to both of the 49ers mlb's and the rookie from the bills. Kuechly is around the ball and a leader on the team, but in my opinion he is not Elite. I can actually see Lavonte winning DPOY someday because he can absolutely take over a game like others that have won the award. Just curious what everyone's thoughts were?

In the eyes of Bucs fans he is. In their eyes he's the worst LB in the league and does nothing but jump on the pile after a tackle is made. To answer the question, no. He's a baller. He plays the MLB position at arguably the highest level in the league in 4-3 defenses. I don't know why people compare him to LaVonte David, who plays an entirely different position. If that's the case then compare him to Dekoda Watson as well and ask why they don't have similar numbers.

I'm not defending him. I'm just calling it like it is. He's not overrated. I also never said he was the best ever...But Bucs fans clearly don't like the guy because of who he plays for. It's not any mystery as to why the casual Buc fan says he's overrated.

Please. It's the team. Plain and simple. As well as the fact that he gets recognition, more recognition than David who plays a different position.

Not taking anything away from Kuechly. He is a very good player, plays with a high motor and hustles all over the field,( I'd be happy to have him as a Buc) but there is no doubt that he is the MOST over hyped player in the league. DPOY? What a joke. A DPOY needs to be a game changer, making impact plays not a solid, very good player.
