Very borderline and IMHO, if there is doubt then they really aren't HOFers. IMHO, Sspp and Brooks are the only HOFers form that era.
He's not even borderline. Surprised he made it to the final 15.
Love the guy, but have to agree.
This is a tough question to answer. On one hand the safety position is under-represented. Otoh he is not the best safety not in the Hall. I'd go Shell, Robinson then either Lynch or Atwater. Harris, while good, was probably never one of the 5 best on the Dallas defense. Cherry it's ver close. But only 6 Pro Bowls. Of course Robinson was only 7 and Shell 5 so you get 9 and a championship and you can make a very strong case. But I don't buy the if there's a doubt then no argument. Lynch would not be the weakest player if he was chosen.
The question one of the baseball guys asks is "Was he ever considered the best player at his position during his career". With Lynch I think the 9 pro bowls and 3 All pros says at one point he was very highly thought of but "the best"? I'm not sure about that. I mean during his career you had guys like Woodson, Reed, Dawkins, Sharper, Harrison and I think he is about even with all those guys so either I feel all of those are hall of famers or none of them are (I think Reed gets in off his highlights).

You are 100% correct,
Hate to say it, but realistically, I think he's just a bit short of HOF stature. Ronde, OTOH, has IMO just enough goods to get in...
Agree with everything you said 100%.
He absolutely will be and deserves to be.
Ring of honor in my opinion, but perhaps not the hall. Same for Alstott.
