Is RB Part of the Winston Puzzle? Feb 23, 2015 | 08:34 pmGil Arcia@GilArciaTBCPotential free agent running back DeMarco Murray could be an option for the Buccaneers. There is speculation surrounding Doug Martin and the Buccaneers on whether or not the fourth-year running back will continue to don pewter. But there could be an interesting scenario that may factor in to the decision for how the Lovie Smith regime handles their backfield. There is a potentially soon-to-be free agent by the name of DeMarco Murray that many have suggested the Bucs go after if he hits the open market. According to reports, Murray was offered a four-year, $16-million contract to stay in Dallas but has yet to accept the offer. He is expected to demand and receive more than that in the open market. So how does the veteran running back tie in to the Bucs? Well, Murray is represented by the same agency that represents Florida State quarterback and potential first overall pick Jameis Winston. Could there be a correlation between the two? That’s unclear. But with having the same reps, there could possibly be some behind the scenes stuff going on if Tampa Bay truly wants to bring the two together as pieces to a puzzle they envision.Martin, 26, has struggled with injuries the past two seasons. He has rushed for 950 yards on 261 and just three touchdowns in 17 games.Murray, 27, has posted two consecutive 1,000-plus seasons. Last season he rushed for 1,845 yards on 392 carries and 13 touchdowns. He’s missed just two games the last two seasons with the Cowboys.Follow Bucs Blitz on twitter: @TBBucsOnScout
