Constant changes that made things worse and no moderation killed this message board.

You haven't been here so you should know the answer to your own question.

Im 42- Jan 1981.  I moved to Tampa and started becoming interested in the NFL when Warren Sapp and Derrick Brooks where drafted and they had this new head coach, Tony D-something (at that time, thats how it was to me), but my pops and die hard Marino fan and Miami Hurricane fan told me about Warren Sapp and now that we lived in Tampa, maybe I should finally decide on "my" team.  It was then that I called the Bucs my team, and have been following them and only them since.  IDGAF about other teams aside from cursory knowledge, for example, I know P Ma is the best QB in the NFL once Brady hung up his strings and no one is even close.  I started reading forums and things, JoeBucsfan, Buccaneers.com, and I discovered PR, back when it was like a subscription based website, and I subscribed.  Ive been on these boards since then.  To answer your question, is this board dead....no.  Its MOSTLY dead, but not all the way.  A few years ago this board had a godfather that helped keep everyone in check.  That poster was Nobody.  Since he left, the new kings of this board are DH and Biggs.  Both are/were psuedo trolly posters who have potential, but gave into their troll side too much and were kept on track by Nobody and his like absolute football acumen and fairness.  He wrote long ass posts that were as unbiased as possible and then, after presenting the data, gave his opinion.  Which 99% of the time was spot the F on, 1% was open to debate, at least for me anyhow.  DH has filled that spot and is doing a decent job, much less trolly than before, but not perfect by any means, he tries to be fair and provides good football knowledge (which at least I dont know anything about, Im a fan that just enjoys the game, I DONT KNOW the details).  Anyhoo, he's doing a fine enough job for me and for now.  Biggs, well....hes our board troll.  Every forum board has one, but he's "OUR" board troll.  Hes smarter than you think, but even more stubborn as well.  I saw him admit he was wrong in a post just yesterday and he said something about savoring the flavor of him admitting he was wrong.  I cheered for you buddy when you did that! Just keep doing you.  In order for this board to truly be great again, we need Nobody.  I havent seen him in years, maybe he has passed away, no idea, but if he's not.  Im sure he'll come back one day to fix this board.  Until then we try and be civil first and productive second.  Deal?

Lol. Love the post.

Nobody didn't pass away. He posts on other boards and on Twitter.

I agree with a lot of this, with the exception of one glaring mistake.

The biggest troll on these boards is Blayton, and it's not even remotely close. For numerous year, this clown spent countless hours, thousands of posts, rambling about anything and everything politics. Back under a previous format of this site, you were able to view post metrics for users. Literally 3% or less of his posts were on the Red Board. The rest were in the Cove. He didn't post here for sports, let alone the Bucs. If you pay close enough attention, you can see he can't go more than a few weeks without injecting something with political undertones. Once they closed the Cove, the virus simply migrated to a new host. It's no coincidence that once the Cove shutdown, and he made his way to the football board, it also happened to be exactly when the site traffic took a nose dive.

Mix in that with the proliferation of Twitter and numerous (horrible) revisions to this site, it's essentially a ghost town.

That being said, love your positive and enthusiastic posts recently.

Keep up the good work!

Fair.  No Forum has just ONE TROLL, every troll needs a counter balance.

And thanks!!! And I plan TOO!!!

Yes, and it's sad to see. Used to be a highlight of the day to jump on and BS with the dozens of active posters. A group of 5 of us old vets who used to frequent the boards have had a group text for over a decade and we all became friends offline through this community. Tis life.

NO.  Its more alive today than it was yesterday.  I think we are in the process of resuscitating it.  And Im REALLLY GOOD AT RESCUCITATION!!!  Anyhoo, watch.  DH, Blayton, and Biggs, and Bada, and even me; We will resuscitate this board and make it a place for us to enjoy debating as opposed to feeding off each others deficiency; and once its cleaned up again (Just like how Dungy cleaned up the Bucs) maybe we'll see Nobody back.  Nobody and I mean NOBODY and breakdown play like he could.  He's the best "check" to unrealistic hypothetical conjecture.  I mean, I disliked McCoy for years and years...and I still think he was overrated to this day, solid-but overrated.  McCoy was set up to fail when we drafted him, we gave him WAYYYYY to big of shoes to fill, and we blamed him for not being able to Fill WS shoes, that was unfair for him.  Anyhoo.  The board is MOSTLY DEAD, but I LOVE MOSTLY DEAD, I like watching shyt rise from the ashes at the last second.  I say its already won, we just have to let it unfold and enjoy the ride.
