I don't think the dog fighting thing is an issue anymore. Believe me, I hated the man for what he did... but its ancient history. He did his time and society has forgiven him.That being said, I wouldn't want him... and heres why...While he would be a good option as competition for Glennon or whoever we go with next year, I think he'd expect too much money. He's not worth what he would ask for IMO.He gets hurt way too much for my liking.
if he's fine with coming in as a backup / situational qb. He could win us a game coming off the bench seeing as his and glennon's games are polar opposites. Tough for a D to adjust to mid-game. Also could go on a nice run and win a few, like he's done in the past. Yes he'd likely get injured eventually, but backups that can come in and take over games as opposed to just manage them are far and few between. Anyway thats the case id make for him. Personally I'd be fine with it at the right price.

The guy is not worth it. His talent doesn't transcend.
This isn't happening. Some team will want him more than us. And I'm sure he'd rather go to a team where he has some chance of starting. He'd be brought in as a backup here.
Vick is a terrible quarterback. He put up mediocre stats in a Chip Kelly offense that made Nick Foles look like a god. Dan Orvlosky is less of a waste of a roster spot since at least he may have a film room work ethic.Vick is trash.
Not saying I couldn't see him come here and do a good job though. He will most likely get injured but if he would come here I have no doubt he would beat out glennon. I thought in tedfords offence an accurate qb with mobility are needed traits. There is definitely a fit here for Vick. If Alex smith can do it with the chiefs Vick sure could have that type of effect on our team.
No matter how you feel about him as a person, you can't count on him as a QB. He will spend anywhere from 4-15 games on IR, and then you re starting your backup anyway. Waste of a roster spot except as a backup.

I don't want Vick here, but I do have a lot of respect for the man. He made a big mistake and he paid for it, and handle it like man unlike so many other athletes.
This team is currently built to win now. I'm open to it. Lovie says he wants athletes... Vick is more athletic than glennon. I'm rooting for glennon to beat out his competition, nevertheless I'll support whoever wins our qb competition.
