When his footwork is clear, he easily has the best, most accurate arm with the most crisp release in this class. If Tedford could coach up his mechanics and footwork, he's Philip Rivers accurate.

I like Carr but, as with others, I'm not sure he should be taken number 7. I think it all comes down to what the Bucs evaluate Glennon as. If he's not their guy then they need to get their guy whether it means "overdrafting" a guy or whatever. If Glennon is there guy they probably can wait til round 4 to pick up a guy who's probably earmarked more as a backup.

Carr at 7 is indeed, a reach.  JMO.

Reach smeach. If Carr is going to be a great NFL QB then he will be. Whether if it's with the Bucs remains to be seen.

He'd be perfect for a system that does not use the forward pass in any way shape or form.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFtuTb9OYZI Lots of screens and bubbles, but still plenty of deep and intermediate throws. Good mobility and climbs the pocket.

Don't use facts to make a point. Delirious the Fascist and his idiot gallery said Carr can't throw deep, and in their moronic little minds, simply saying it makes it so.

I counted at least 7 dropped passes that were perfectly placed, including 2 dropped touchdowns. I only saw two throws he shouldn't have made and a 15 yard sack he had no business taking. I don't know how much freedom he had in that system but he found one-on-ones a lot. Nothing major that experience wouldn't solve-of course this is just one a minuscule sample size.

He throws deep often this game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mo89apQ1r8 Say what you want but Carr knows how to get the football into the end zone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7sOVWhFMC4 Carr is the best pure passer with the best arm in the draft with the highest ceiling.  He is an Aaron Rodgers clone.  But I guess haters are gonna hate and dump on any prospect that aren't their favorites.  I'd rather take a gamble with Carr than someone like JFF who runs around like a chicken with their head cut off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdPuFcmLSkw Total Clown.  Nuff Said.

Arm strength and velocity are not a concern for this guy. There's nothing wrong with Carr's deep ball that a few mechanical tweeks wouldn't fix, and he has excellent ball placement on those endzone throws, and those are not easy throws to make.

"Carr at 7 is a reach"If this coaching staff believes he's a franchise QB, then they'd take him at 7, so he wouldn't be a reach. Of course most of this forum would be too angry to realize that

Look his footwork sucks. Maybe you can fix that and let the Cannon play next year,  but when I see that footwork I try to imagine how many teams are really going to spend a really low draft pick on this guy. He looks nothing like Aaron Rodgers. So here is the dealio. If you like him you just draft as usual at no.7 take Watkins or Robinson or whoever is the Red Board flavor of the week. Then if he is there towards the end of the 1st round you trade up for him. Because the teams choosing last aren't looking for a QB. Most of the teams past the top 11 (Tennessee) aren't even looking for a QB. So you just need to watch out for the teams picking at the top who don't take a QB in the first round. Cleveland does have pick no.26. You would need to watch out for them. But my opinion is I don't like him and would probably not want him in either of the first two rounds. I have serious questions about his lower body strength and awful footwork. The kid is a project not a top 10 pick IMO.

Actually the facts say he rarely DOES throw deep . Jdud posted the exact breakdown of those FACTS  . I believe the numbers were approx. 65% of his passes were  7  yards and under , 35% were screen passes. Much higher than any other prospect in the draft. The facts , black hole ....The facts.  U mad  ??....and you thought Freeman was good ...why are you talking QB's again ? Any opinion you ever have about a QB is discredited henceforth ,  you dumb little communist.

I have a strange idea...lets not draft a mediocre prospect simply because we arent happy with our current mediocre prospect.  If Glennon sucks next year, we will be in prime position to get a QB out of next year's draft when there isnt mid major and FCS QBs being talked about as the "top available".  Im not saying this kid wont be good in the NFL, but if you take him at #7...thats a waste of a pick we could use to fill a bigger hole, its a waste of our 3rd rounder last year, and would waste our chance of getting one of the better QB's next year....unless you happen to be one of those guys who thinks we should draft QBs 3 years in a row.

Whoever thinks this guy is an NFL QB but has a problem with Glennon has little or no idea about football. Please make the Carr talk stop!!

Yo, that would be the marky mark report you be talking about.. But pr would never be prejudiced against any body, right. Oh wait. See schiano and glennon, and the love fest for freeman and dom. Now they be trying to ram this Carr stuff down our throat. Sorry, but if we take Carr at 7 like pr be saying we should I am going to have a meltdown man. That is how bad teams stay bad.

It's not as easy as you think. In order to get a great QB next year the Bucs would have to go 3-13 or worse to ensure they get a top 3 pick. IMO, even if Glennon stinks up the joint, this team coached by Lovie will be able to win 6 games and once again be out of position to draft a QB. If Lovie and Licht think one of the QB's in the draft this year is a franchise QB and that QB falls to the Bucs at 7 then they should draft him.
