I don't think you're a joke either JDub. But that not mobile stuff is ridiculous. Literally no where does it say he's not mobile. Not a single, solitary scouting report. ng like or anything. He has legs. They move....but I've never seen him use his athleticism to improve his game. When he gets pressured I see him do many things, but scramble and effectively avoid the rush is not one of them. I'm not telling to listen to me over a scouting website, but I'm not going to ignore what my own two eyes see because a website tells me to. All those sites told us Gabbert and Geno Smith were top 10 talents too. They aren't always right.

Is anyone really arguing that he doesn't have a good arm? To me the system is definitely designed to cover up his flaws, but those are less about throwing deep and more about throwing quickly to disguise his poor pocket presence and lack of experience making multiple reads. These flaws may or may not be fixable at the next level.
This.Judging from about half of the original video in this thread, Carr has adequate arm strength and mobility but he barely had to make any reads and, frankly, seemed to be know where he was going to throw regardless of circumstances before the ball snapped. Didn't see anything remotely akin to some of Glennon's upside on decision making and "intelligence". Also, the opponent's defensive play and scheming was poor, and an elite QB should have shredded it.That said, I liked the pep on his throws and the mobility was nice, but I wouldn't take this guy over Glennon, much less in the 1st round, at this point.

I turned on the Carr video and the first thing I noticed was his feet. After being against drafting Freeman because of his terrible footwork and then watching his terrible footwork and all the problems it caused his game for the last 5 years, there is absolutely no way I can endorse Carr. Sorry. And what was that state JDub listed? 168 yards rushing in 3 years Let's see that's 3x say 12 games is 36. 168/36= 4.666666667 yards rushing per game. Right. And Glennon has a "cannon" Come on people. Stop reading scouting reports and watch the videos. Find some clips of him running and post them here but if all you got is copy paste from a scouting site you are dragging this board down. Weak.

He is a young guy. He's 6'2" 215lbs. I'm sure he has a nice physique and is a helluva lot more athletic than me.....but being athletic and mobile in the real world is not the same thing as being athletic and mobile in the NFL. Compared to the athletes the NFL, Carr ain't sh!t. And if he does have some great athleticism and mobility, he hasn't used it.....so it is pointless to argue whether he has it. You can talk about scout notes and combine numbers until you are blue in the face, but non of that will change the fact that he hasn't shown escapability or the ability to take off and make plays with his feet in three years of starting in college. Mobility is simply not a positive when grading him out as a prospect. He's not overly stiff. So it's not a negative either, it just isn't a positive. He doesn't use mobility to improve his game anymore than Glennon does. So to think he will suddenly be able to avoid, shake off, or out run defenders in the NFL, that are faster and stronger than the ones he faced in college...is silly. He has great numbers because he is in a spread system where he gets rid of the ball VERY fast. He isn't going through progressions. He usually hits a predetermined guy as soon as the ball is snapped. This results in a lot of completions and yards and a high completion %, but it's almost all short little throws that get a lot of YAC. When it doesn't work, when his #1 target isn't open and he has to hold onto the ball for more than 2 seconds, things usually got very ugly and ended in an ugly incompletion, an int, or a sack. He will be eaten alive in the NFL. People keep raving about his cannon arm, but a cannon is useless without accuracy. His deep ball accuracy is all over the place. For every beautiful throw he makes over 20 yards, there are 10 ugly off target incompletions. You really don't need a cannon to do what he does. Smaller version of Gabbert. Not even an upgrade over Glennon. Pass.

All rookie QB's have problems with their footwoork. Freeman was a veteran that still had that problem.Apples and oranges.
Freeman really shouldn't be mentioned when talking about QBs. Using him for comparison does not help in anyway.
