Leave it Dolorous to sum up a prospect in one play and a measurable that's not even bad.
Who said I was summing him up with that ?? I said it was a "small tidbit" , stupid. No wonder you are "watched" ....
...and just another small tidbit:Fresno exaggerated his height . He only measured in at 6'2 at the Senior Bowl.
by 3/4 of an inch. So what? It's not like 6'2" is really an issue.
Every 3/4 of an inch matters. Just ask the females.
...or ask Jdud.
Derek Carr, again, was the most consistently accurate QB during Tuesday's @seniorbowl practices. And both practices had windy conditions. per Adam CaplanGaroppolo and Carr have looked sharp today. I know I've mentioned this a bunch, but Jimmy's release is so quick and natural. #SeniorBowl Dana BruglerScott Wright -- "Expectations were running high for Fresno St. QB Derek Carr heading into the 2014 Senior Bowl, with rampant speculation that a strong week could not only push him into the first round but perhaps all the way into the Top 10 overall. So far Carr has lived up to the hype and has clearly been the best signal caller in Mobile. Not only is Carr getting the job done on the field by showcasing his arm strength and athleticism but he is also drawing rave reviews for his intangibles. You better believe scouts have noticed Carr getting up early to watch film and staying after practice to get some additional reps. That is exactly the type of work ethic and dedication to his craft that teams want to see from someone who they hope will be the face of their franchise. "
He's the anti Freeman. Why hate on him?

You mean this stud? http://fat.gfycat.com/QualifiedPertinentErmine.webm
In reality, I like Carr. He reminds me of a young Phillip Rivers.
I see the same thing. He needs a little coaching re: footwork... but if he gets that right he's got the best/most accurate arm with a very nice release.
No matter how you slice it, he'd be a rookie and we don't need another rookie QB. We need veteran leadership.
Carr gets an inordinate amount of hate because he had a bad bowl game and his last name. People overrated any single game, see Jamarcus Russell, and assign him traits from his brother. He has all the skills you need. He needs to clean up his footwork but I think you can say that about every QB this year and almost all of them in any year. Colleges are awful at footwork.
And because he has small hands, level of competition, and the amount of screen passes he threw in college.I have no problem taking a QB at 7, but I would rather take Jimmy G later on than draft Carr.
Small hands is the first thing out of the bag and it is a non issue since he doesn't have a problem throwing the ball with those hands. Level of competition? Plenty of QBs have been successful not playing out of the big conferences. Screen passes? Yes he threw a lot of them but when you look at what he did on non screens he still looks like a pro prospect. This isn't a Colt McCoy level prospect I love that jimmy g has a lower level of competition and the same size hands and ran a ton of screens from a spread and you like him to be a franchise over Carr. Seriously?
No more Fresno State QBs.Period.
The guy might not be the perfect prospect at this point but he's got at least two really important things going for him. A NFL arm and a NFL work ethic.
No matter how you slice it, he'd be a rookie and we don't need another rookie QB. We need veteran leadership.
yeah, let's just ask GB to let us have Aaron Rodgers.
Meh. Nothing jumps out at you. He throws a lot, and I mean a LOT of short stuff. It gets there accurately, in place for the receiver to make a play after the fact. His "wheels" are deceptive. On that scramble for a TD I cringed when he held that ball out there like a loaf of bread, and with his small hands, that stuff may pop loose during those games in the cold (when they matter, for the most part). But that is just a reach at a negative. He is not a physical specimen, he has big time college production, but I am not so sure that a QB like Glennon playing in that same system wouldn't replicate those exact same numbers, if not best them entirely. If the Bucs draft him, I will cringe because I am not so sure this guy is the savior of the franchise, and Lovie-Licht will be forced to play this guy as such...this pick is pretty huge for the new era of Bucball!Bucs would be better served to build the trenches up, rather than draft Carr. But again, if the new staff thinks highly of him, then this may be the new franchise guy. And that makes me nervous...he just doesn't scream superstar on any level.
I am not overwhelmed by anything he does. But I need to see more of him before making a judgement. If Lovie and Tedford draft him, I would be shocked. That would be a real kick in the nuts to Glennon.
No matter how you slice it, he'd be a rookie and we don't need another rookie QB. We need veteran leadership.
With the average NFL career being 3 years, you could make the argument Glennon is a vet already.
I don't know how people like to say Carr can't throw deep or that he has a weak arm. That is false. He has a top 5 NFL arm. He has the best arm in the draft. He can make every throw. His arm is at least 8 times stronger than Glennon's. It's embarrassing when Glennon's best throw of the season was a wounded duck that VJax had to turn around and wait for in the end zone that they keep showing on ESPN whenever they mention Glennon.
That middle gif is 65-70 yards in the air. Looks like he does have the arm, I think the big thing is, does he have it between the ears.
