At the end of the day, it's about guys like that getting better. A lot of people have looked at Carolina as the model franchise right now. To me, a large part of their core are 3rd round/late round guys who got better as time went on in Carolina. Norman was a 5th rounderColeman was a cheap free agentKwann Short was a 2nd rounderCharles Johnson was a 3rd rounderGreg Hardy (who enjoyed great success on the team) was a 6th rounder Their LG was a undrafted rookie last year, Same with the RT, also an undrafted guyThe hit on 1st rounders AND got immediate production from Cam, Luke, Kelvin Benjiman, and Thomas Davis (ok that was like 20 years ago but still).We have hit on our 1st rounders the past 2 years, and gotten fast production from both Jameis and Evans. But as fans, we need to look at core guys like Sims, Jack Smith, ASJ, Howard Jones..some of those guys getting better. Hopefully the coaches can develop these dudes. It's not always about drafting stars, its about making them.
