loved what sherman did afterwards.if you think its "classless", who cares? watch the opera. this is sports played at high level physically, and emotionally.
The opera has their divas, too...I'm ok with them having a running feud thing. But, the cameras CAN point in another direction... that would be good.
If you dont want someone to talk smack...remove his reason for doing so. Love him or hate him...dude is who he is and doesnt hide it for anyone. I find it refreshing to not get the usual "praising the vanquished" talk everyone else does. If you back it up on the field...go for it.
A-freakin-men!!!
Can only imagine how you would act if you were actually good at anything.
I don't have the time or desire to keep up so maybe someone can tell me which previously banned ass-clown this is.
Sherman's comments were probably not problematic to most people because he called out the receiver or trash talked, especially since there appears to be some history. I would imagine that the problem for some or most lies in all the "I" references . . . choosing at that moment to say "I am the best CB" Shouldn't he be saying "WE are the best pass defense" or "WE shut down Crabtree" or "Don't test US"? It was one play, he made a very, very good play, a great recovery . . . BUT the team won the game as a team, stopped Crabtree as a team . . and even on that play . . the D line was bringing pressure and another player made the interception. . . . etc. . . . and yet his focus was HIM.I don't think the comments are that big a deal, frankly, and it was right after the game when emotions are high etc., but the singular focus of the comment is what throws a lot of people, I would guess.
Agreed. Good post.
its poor sportsmanship. show respect for your opponents.heard Tom Brady asked about it this morning on the radio:“I don’t know him at all. I’ve watched him play. He’s that kind of guy,” Brady said on the Dennis & Callahan Show on WEEI Radio in Boston on Monday. “So, you know. I approach the game and I have respect for my opponents. That’s the way our team always plays.“We win with graciousness, and when we lose, we could do better. Some teams don’t always do that, or that’s not their program. The only way to counter that is to beat them. When you don’t win, it’s hard not to say — you just gotta shut your mouth and listen to it. Maybe when you get an opportunity down the road, maybe that’s a source of motivation. But they got a good team, they played well all year. They played well at home. And that’s why they advanced, too.”After the Seahawks beat the Patriots last season, Sherman went up to Brady to trash talk. He later tweeted a picture of the confrontation with a caption that read “U MAD.”

This coming from a guy who chased down referees after the Panthers game and dropped F-bombs because he was MAD. Very respectful.
