Sherman's comments were probably not problematic to most people because he called out the receiver or trash talked, especially since there appears to be some history. I would imagine that the problem for some or most lies in all the "I" references . . . choosing at that moment to say "I am the best CB" Shouldn't he be saying "WE are the best pass defense" or "WE shut down Crabtree" or "Don't test US"? It was one play, he made a very, very good play, a great recovery . . . BUT the team won the game as a team, stopped Crabtree as a team . . and even on that play . . the D line was bringing pressure and another player made the interception. . . . etc. . . . and yet his focus was HIM.I don't think the comments are that big a deal, frankly, and it was right after the game when emotions are high etc., but the singular focus of the comment is what throws a lot of people, I would guess.

I have a feeling Demaryius Thomas is going to make Sherman wish this interview never happened. Or Welker, or the other Thomas, or Decker. I'm not sure you should make these types of comments before you're about to face the best offense in NFL history. Having said that, I don't have a problem with what he said. I despise interviews with athletes because they're worthless, nobody ever says anything.

I had no problem with the interview hes a 5th round pick that plays with a chip on his shoulder for a guy to start from the bottom and rise to the top of the game at his position he can say whatever he wants. All of a sudden within 3 years he becomes a physical monster with the agility and speed to keep up with receivers, as well as physically dominate them? It's not all technique improvements. You can't gain that much short range burst simply by working out. The real smoking gun is his "adderall" suspension from last year. Browner was on steroids before he came to the NFL, and he never stopped. He is probably the one who introduced Sherman to them in 2011. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he gets suspended or has a sudden drop off in talent. He may be able to mask it for a few years but it's going to come up eventually.

You just made it EXTREMELY OBVIOUS that you haven't been a fan of this team for a long time. Sapp was the biggest jerk in the league once upon a time. Sherman honestly doesn't hold a candle to how big of an ass Sapp was.
