Heres another story on Profootballtalk.com about Suh and how he would always be late to meetings etc...etc.... and over all just how bad of a teammate he is. The cool thing is is that Gerald by all accounts is a great great teammate works hard shows up on time, mentors the younger guys, is good in the community and is a leader. Looks like if the stories are true( it was Heath evans who claimed this story). We clearly got the better player, and through there first two seasons nobody would have thought that would be the case. GO BUCS!!!!! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/02/01/report-teammates-said-suh-was-a-problem-in-the-lions-locker-room/

Look on the field and you'll know we got the better player.

Imagine a team with players who don't want to show up for work... and having problems winning games.

Well, arguably McCoy is better on the field, but there is no question who is the better off the field.

I cant stand the guy either. He majorly backtracked on the Chip Kelly story where he said Chip's offense would absolutely fail in the NFL and jjust bomb. So he lost credibility. I hated him when he played for the saints also. ( just had to add that)

I said when they were both in the draft.  Both of these players are great.  They each have their own strengths, but they both get the job done at a very high level. And yes, Heath Evans is an awful analyst.

Casual fan logic: "One player is good so that means the other is bad"..Both are 2 of the best at their position. Teams would take either guy on their roster. It's immaterial and irrelevant who's better than who. Both the Lions and Bucs have an elite DT on their roster.

I was thinking this too. It sounds like someone has an axe to grind with the Lions more than anything. I wonder who it could be...Schwartz_Jim.jpg

Not a big Suh fan. He was a great college player but as I suspected he wasn't going to come into the NFL and overpower everyone like he did in college. I honestly thought Detroit would pick McCoy because his skill set translates better to the NFL. Thank God they bought into the college hype.

So where would you rank Suh among league DTs?

Ill be the first to admit that I was hoping Suh would fall to us (at the time) but now I am glad we got McCoy.  Of course if you ask JC5100 we didnt get a good value.
