The only person that is stuck in a corner is Freeman with his dunce cap on.
Says the guy who believes Schiano had all his eggs in the Freeman basket eventhough he went 4-9 with Glennon and had a better record with Freeman.
No dummy, the franchise put all their eggs in the Freeman basket when they drafted him and called him the franchise QB we were going to build aroundSchiano made an omelete
Where was the building around? Where's that picture somebody made of Morris and Dominik tearing down the Taj Mahal?
If you were right and Freeman was an innocent victim of his circumstances don't you think the teams that actually talk to the players and the agents etc. would have quickly gobbled Freeman up when he was cut by the Bucs? How about this next year? He should get a starters job and excel, right? new team, new coach, new teammates . . . he should go on to great success, right? I hope he does and he might . . . but he also might not, right? If he does not will his failure be all on him then?
They did gobble him up, he had 11 offers. And his agent needs to earn his money and put him the right spot. He can't sign with Oakland or Jacksonville or Cleveland. Those are death traps. Just like the Bucs were. His short list needs to be Cincinnati, San Francisco, Houston, maybe the Jets, maybe stay with the Vikings. Bengals first and foremost though.
so he should go on to great success, right? If he does, all credit to him, right? If he does not, all blame too this time, right?
It all depends where he goes.
lol, thanks
Also, if you think Freeman did not get a fair shake here, that is the worst argument in the world. 5 years was it? If you want to defend Freeman, there are better angles.
Two inept head coaches and one of the worst, if not the worst, defense in the league from 2009-2012
Ok, then how do you explain his Viking meltdown? Coincidence? I think not.

K2, Benn, MikeW, Blount, VJax, Martin. How many weapons did they need to give the guy so he could hit a receiver in stride on a 5 yard crossing route or a swing pass?
How were they building around Freeman with Winslow, Benn and Blount when Schiano got rid of them? And why don't you name Luke Stocker while you're at it.By the way, #9 offense and #29 defense in 2012.
lol, thanks
So you don't acknowledge that some QBs have been support systems than others? If Russell Wilson was on the Jags what's their record? If Kaepernick went 12-4 with the #5 defense and #3 running game, what do you think his record would be the with the #30 defense and #30 running game?

Why is any QB throwing 53 passes in a game after being on the team for 2 weeks?
lol, thanks

you're ,missing the point . . . intentional perhaps, but no worries

Make one. You would be the first anti-Freeman poster in this thread to do so.

They wanted a good look at him. And you saw how that played out. After that game, he was back on the bench for the rest of the season. Speaks volumes.
If we had traded for say Kirk Cousins, and the gameplan was for him to throw 53 passes after being on the team for 2 weeks there would be outrage on here, people demanding for the coaches to be fired.

Well, IMO, Any QB in the league that is 4-5 years in, should be able to pick up ANY offense pretty quickly. And they most likely dumbed it down for him. They wanted him to succeed, obviously.
Explain him missing guys who were wide open with horrible throws then. And did why he look the same way in our offense at the start of the season?

Dude, he was 20/20 on the throws he completed. You're ignoring the facts.

Oh yea that's true

this gave me a genuine laugh, thanks.
