What's the argument for those of you who believe Freeman was given a chance to succeed here?
He started FIFTY NINE games here!!!!FIFTY NINE!!!59!He had all sorts of talent around him. VJ, Doug Martin, Blount, Williams, Winslow.... high draft picks and expensive free agents on the O-Line.He was given plenty of chance to succeed.
Capital letters and exclamation points mean what exactly? He started 59 games under bad circumstances. On to your points....-The one full season he played with Jackson and Martin we were #9 in offense- In Blount's big 2010 season we won 10 games- Mike Williams is a good #2 WR, whoopty dooNow your making negative points against your argument...-The Winslow trade was horrible, he was a cancer and the turning point in the 2011 season was when he threw a tantrum because Parker scored a touchdown instead of him. -The $167M offensive line was a giant bust. These were assets that could have been used to, you know, improve those bottom 5 defenses.
Wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland takes a look at him. Other than them though, I don't see another team considering him.
Oakland, Jacksonville and Arizona could be landing spots as a back-up type situation.

Plenty of back-up opportunities out there. And I think even he knows, that is his ceiling now. Its pays well, and you don't even work up a sweat, nice gig if you can land one.
Also, if you think Freeman did not get a fair shake here, that is the worst argument in the world. 5 years was it? If you want to defend Freeman, there are better angles.
DIdn't want Freeman when the drafted him, didn't think he would ever be what the bucs needed, hoped he would when he played well... That said - not too often a team has two such HCs... that stinks even more and has been a waste of 4 years
He will bounce around the league as a clip board holder for several years. Not a bad gig, pays well, and you never have to even wash your uniform.
I'm not sure how well clipboard holding would work for him. When the national media catches him violating the clipboard hole, obviously tripping on molley, he'll be done.
LOLOne funny thing about the NFL drug testing program is, they only test once a year for marijuana, and announse ahead of time when that test will take place. Its a different story with the other type of banned substances though.
Actually, that is only if you have no prior failed tests, which JF admitted he has. He no longer is tested on a schedule. He doesn't know when the next test is coming. But that doesn't mean he couldn't easily beat the system. Very easily.

True. I wasn't speaking of Freeman in particular, just the league in general.

Anti, come on man.. I know you aren't a freepologist, but man,... rah/olsen then schiano/sully...that's good for ANY qb??Those are NOT guys who you want coaching your "franchise" qb...are they? For as much as feeeman did himself in, the staffs that have came and went, were indeed sub par.Which means some of the blame has to be on them. They're old news as well.
Freeman was good before he got hooked on pills and booze , so you can't blame his coaches . The blame sits squarely on his own shoulders.

No way to know any of that for sure. All we have is speculation and conjecture right now.

Two inept head coaches and one of the worst, if not the worst, defense in the league from 2009-2012

That could drive anyone to drink and take drugs! ;)

What the hell does the defense have to do with his inability to read a defense and make accurate throws? I hope you are just trolling.
Has anyone mentioned that Freeman sucks

JC straight up is an idiot. Popping hamstrings means you are out of shape! (Idiocy)
