Only QB in this draft worth trading up for is Bridgewater and I would be iffy on doing it. Trading up for the other 2 guys with all the questions they come with would be insane. That QB would have to be a slam dunk for that kind of move and Manziel and Bortles are not.I would trade up for Clowney tho.
I would trade up for Clowney if he were to fall to five. I would t trade up for any qb. Just don't think any of them will be any good.
If you don't like the QBs, that is fair....but trading away multiple 1sts and 2nd round picks to move up and take anyone other than a QB is just dumb. No other position is important enough to justify that type of move.
It shouldn't cost much too move up two spots. At most it would be another second rounder. Would you trade a second rounder for a guy you thought would greatly upgrade your pass rush? I would. That is how I think Clowney would be for us. I don't think a qb on this draft is much better than Glennon.
OMG. You must be black. GTFOH
Woah you have to be black to say something stupid?
That's not what I'm saying. He pulled the race card and in no possible way does it apply here. Call it an educated guess.
Are you serious with this reaction? To this post?
If you can get Bridgewater or Clowney then I would have to consider doing it. If Bridgewater was white he would be the consensus no.1 overall pick. He has no holes in his game. He is the most complete, polished QB since Luck came out.
Luck came out 2 classes ago dumb shit. He's saying Teddy Bridgewater is the most complete, polished QB to come out of the 13 or 14 (to be) draft. Doesn't sound like much of a fucking stretch to me. Teddy Bridgewater would be a little more highly regarded as a "traditional" quarterback where he white. Not on every NFL draft board, but I would bet most. To argue other wise is fucking asinine in my opinion. He's already pretty highly regarded in most quarters. So consensus #1, again, not much of a stretch. We don't need shit like that on the forum. Fuck you and your educated guesses.
Honestly, after losing our 1st last year and our 3rd this year, I'm not sure I would trade up for anyone, as it would require next years 1st and probably this years 2nd. Clowneys was a beast for ONE season, and it wasn't this one. Has some maturity and motor issues, BUT he'd be the only one I'd even consider, but think our draft picks are to valuable vs the risk, at this point, with the team having so many needs( at least 3 quality O-lineman, 3rd Wr and depth, TE, DL, CB,QB)
The only way we trade up in this draft is for Clowney. All of the QBs have some serious questions. If Clowney falls, we could trade up ahead of Atlanta to get him. We're not doing that for Bridgewater, Bortles, or Manziel.
@Bucs_Nation: Hearing from a reliable source the Bucs are talking to the Jags about trading up.WHAT IS LOVE? :DI'd do it!!
Would be absolutely insane to trade up for any of these QB, IMO. Most of the Big Boards NOT Mock drafts, have the Qb's no higher than the 7th or 8th best player. Most seem to have the 3 qb's ranked from around 8th down to 21st. Keep in mind, in 2012, there was clear consensus of Luck and Griffin, at 1a and 1b. This class in has one qb in the top 10, usually Bridgwater at around 8, then the other 2 between 13 and 21. There is NO way Lovie Smith is gonna give up next years #1 and this years #2 for a Qb barely ranked in the top 10, of the best players in the country, especially when you can get a top 5 player at your #7 slot. 1st,2nd and 3rd picks are vital to building the nucleus of a team, and for quality depth, something we are severely lacking in. We desparately need quality depth at almost every position on this team, but RB. The draft is how you acquire this. It's unrealistic to add depth thru FA due to high salaries.

I agree with most of this. I wouldn't trade up for anyone in this draft. We have significant holes to fill on this roster, of course the QB position is one of the bigger holes to fill.
I hope we trade up and then take a LT. The amount of hate spewed here would be worth it.

Bortles is Chase Daniel part 2. I wouldn't take him if he "slipped" to 7...I'd let him tumble right on past.I agree about Teddy and I think he will have the best career out of the three , but I would also be hesitant to trade up. The Jags would straight up trade-rape us.

Robinson would be the one. Matthews is a Right Tackle at the next level.

I guess it would be if it were true. I'm just glancing over big boards. S.I. has Bridgewater 2. CBSsports @4. Bleacher report @6. Walterfootball @7. SBnation @3. drafttek @2. Will Lomas (yahoo sports) @3. I'm guessing ESPN has him 7 or 8 or something? Plus this draft has maybe the freakiest athlete defensive end to come out in the last 20 years. *I can't find a big board from Mayock.
The biggest single need on the bucs is a pure pass rusher (I'm sure half the ppl say it's qb). Clowney is the best defensive prospect in the last decade. Last year the Dolphins moved up from #12 to #3 and it cost them their 2nd rounder. If that's the cost to get Clowney, I'm onboard and I kind of think it would be silly not to. I don't see us kicking ourselves for passing on any of the qb's.
We are not settling. There are almost no other options out there right now. Next year will be a better year to land our future signal caller.
You trade up in the top 3 for a QB.....the end. The idea of doing it for Watson or Clowney is ridiculous.
Agreed. If someone trades into the top 3 for Watson, they'll be a laughingstock.
