You trade up in the top 3 for a QB.....the end. The idea of doing it for Watson or Clowney is ridiculous.
Exactly
If we did trade up from 7 to 3, it would probably cost next year's 1st. I've heard people saying it would cost multiple 1sts plus more.....but that just doesn't add up. The difference is 700 points is which is equal to a late 1st round pick. Nothing more.I mean, in 2012 Jax moved up from 7th to 5th for a single 4th round pick. Browns moved up from 4th to 3rd for a 4th, 5th, and 7th. It simply doesn't cost that much to move a few spots, even at the top of the draft. The Redskins were just desperate and stupid and wanted it done long before the draft....so they over paid in epic proportions. That sh!t Washington did for RG3 was insane and I would never support something like that. If we have to give up our 2015 1st rounder to get a franchise QB....I say go for it. If the Jags were trying to rape us like the Rams raped Washington.....screw that. Nobody is worth all that.
A 2015 1st and 4th should get 'er done.

No, you trade up in the top 3 for Andrew Luck/ Peyton Manning / Jameis Winston type QBs. Those types of players are non existant in this draft class.

Then no way.

So Winston is now in the same category as Luck and Manning?
As a prospect coming out of college, you bet he is. If he were in this draft he would be the unquestioned #1 draft pick. Next year will likely be the same.

He's projecting. And Winston is better than every QB in this draft that you are willing to trade up for.
...I understand what BUCS is saying & I agree.

He had a great year. Just one. He had a lot of talent around him on offense and a dominant defense. Perhaps we could let him have at least a second year of dominance before we put him in the same category as Luck and Manning? Maybe let him prove he is really that good and he isn't really a rapist? For all we know he could bomb next year or get into more sexual assault trouble. I just think you're a little premature.

Jameis Winston didn't just have a great year, he had a record breaking year. How you can portray yourself on these boards as some great college football guru yet fail to recognize Winstons greatness is beyond me. As far as proving he isn't a rapist?? You have got to be kidding me. The cops didn't even have enough to indict him. I think that in itself should prove he is innocent. You know, she wouldn't be the first woman to accuse a college or pro athlete of something he didn't do. Anyway, a whole other can of worms you are trying to open up, yet an invalid argument for several reasons.
People have very short memories. Luck/Manning were 14 years apart. But plenty of other QB's have won superbowls between those 2 drafts.
Lmfao!
We don't need to trade up to get Watkins.
You want a WR from CLEMSON at #7?Gag.Name one Clemson player in the pros worth a shizzz. We've drafted 2 busts from that place in the past 8 years. We don't need another one.

I went through the last 10 years. This is who I foundByron Maxwell 6th roundMarcus Gilchrist 2nd roundThat was it. Though I did look at some of those Clemson teams from 1993 on and they just weren't very good.
