Look, Winston is not a horrible QB. He has put up some amazing stats. But he also continues with boneheaded plays and horrible games. What he has done this year is acceptable for a rookie or second year player. Not a 5th year pro. And you don’t pay 30+ mil a year for such inconsistent play.
This team is not close to a SB or even the playoffs. Needs major help on the Oline, secondary and DLine. The question is going to be, take on an erratic QB at 30+ mil, which hampers moves at other positions, or just bite the bullet and draft a QB. We won’t be able to get Tua or Herbert, but I do think we will be in position to get Fromm. I don’t think Fromm will ever be a Farve or Mahones. But he will be a Prescott or Brad Johnson. Few mistakes and consistent good play who can win games.
Besides, we should be able to get a State Farm endorsement.
Man it sucks knowing we have yet another losing season to live through.
