The Shaq interview the other day that mentioned if Jameis had another season like this he'd be out of the league was interesting. One part he downplayed the 5000 yards and 33TDs saying if you throw alot you're going to get yards, you're going to get TDs. Something along those lines, can't find the exact quote. So I figured I'd search for all seasons with a min of 600 attempts to see how this season stacks up.
There have been only 64 QB seasons with min of 600 attempts, Jameis had 626 this year leading the league.
Of those 64 seasons his rankings are the follows
Comp % 47/64
TD % 21/64
INT % 1/64
QB Rating 47/64
ANY/A 40/64
Yards 8/64
Sack% 5/64 (5th most)
7-9 record 44/64 (this is surprising most teams are better with all these attempts, normally people think only bad teams throw this much)
Just curious how the #s looked compared to other high volume seasons out there. The yards are higher than 'normal' but so are the INTs (worst ever). TD rate is relatively normal for that volume. QB rating and ANY/A show it as a below average 'volume' season.
