I just want to get that out of the way. This football team is immensely talented at the skill positions and putting up 23 points this week and 12 in the previous week is by no way carrying this team or putting the team on his back. Honestly, Jameis should be doing more and putting up better numbers with the weapons he has. That's been a disappointment to me, I expected more. I do think playcalling has been extremely conservative and and predictable due to the Head Coach's philosophy and it may be affecting his numbers, but still, I expected better passing statistics from Winston. Now before I get flamed by anyone, this is not a hate thread. This is coming from someone who after seeing Winston lead FSU to a championship thought he was a better prospect than Andrew Luck. I saw this kid as one of if not the most gifted throwers I had ever seen grace the field. I thought that highly of him and I still think he is immensely talented. I'm just not blown away. I really expected him to come into the league and break every rookie passing record on the books. I'm impressed with his progress but I do not like the rhetoric surrounding the new QB. He's not carrying a bunch of scrubs like Cam in Carolina that have no business being primary receiving options. He has actual go to guys everywhere on the field. Just from an impartial and detached perspective, Mariota has actually been more impressive to me and is displaying some of the advanced play that I thought Winston would. I hated Mariota and still do, thought he was a joke and a gimmick but he's proving otherwise. Mariota has an experience edge over Winston seeing as he spent more years in college though. Next year will show me a lotJust an honest opinion. I don't want to offend anyone or be a negative nancy. If my post is interpreted that way, I apologize ahead of time
