Remember in the lead up to the draft, there were reports out about Jameis' shoulder possibly being damaged with ties to his past as a pitcher.
It kind of got swept under the rug once we drafted him, but obviously the issue came up last season.

I haven't heard anyone bring this up since the pre-draft process in 2015.
But given that the issue was made known before he came in to the league - is it possible that this shoulder thing is going to be a long-term/permanent issue?

It's at least worth questioning whether this is an injury that can be corrected or not. The fact that he hasn't gotten surgery tells us that either the medical team expects him to be fine, or that even a surgical procedure will not correct the potentially permanent damage that has been done.

If our team doctors have uncovered some bad news on his shoulder we could be looking at a draft day trade that rocks the league as we take someone like Baker Mayfield at 7, and trade Jameis for a boatload of picks from a team like Cleveland.
