Early in the second quarter on third down he threw an errant pass to Godwin that would have been returned for a pick 6 if it had been thrown to 90% of the receivers in this league. Godwin made perhaps his best catch of the year on that ball. If you play it back in slow motion, you can see that the DL was ready to catch it and run it back for a TD. If that had happened it would have ended the debate about whether Jameis has a future here. My point is let's not be deceived, folks. Jameis is amazingly good when he's good, but his "bad" is far too bad to take a team deep into the playoffs. It just is. The sad thing is that I doubt Light and Arians will have the courage to go out and find another QB like Bridgewater to compete with Jameis next year. I'm all for bringing him back for one year to see if he can learn not to throw INTs, but we have to plan for him not to be good next year, rather than bet our future on irrational hope.
