"Have been hearing for two months that if Schiano leaves/fired by Bucs, Tampa would have interest in Jets Rex Ryan if NYJ lets him go."I'm a big Rex Ryan fan, though I'd be concerned with how his defensive scheme would mesh with this team.
Normally i'd say no to rex, but beggars can't be choosers.Better than schiano.
We got the Schiano train for 1 more year......
Anybody but schiano. Rex is one of the best defensive minds in the league, and if he could get a good OC, we'd be set.
Rex is staying in NY and Schiano is staying in Tampa. Maybe next year.
Rex always gets the most out of his teams.
That guys is seriously one of the best HCs in the league. His players love him and he is killer as an X's and O's guy. Think about the fact that the Jets with their second TD leader (besides QB) being DT Sheldon Richardson, have 7 wins. That is an unbelievable coaching job. If the Jets are dumb enough to let him go, he'd be an awesome choice to come to Tampa and reunite with Revis. As a DC, that would be unreal.

So does schiano. They play hard for him.... #eyeroll.
OC hire would be crucial. But he's arguably the best defensive coach in the NFL.

Rutgers has his eyes on the prize, they trophy....the Participation Trophy but a trophy nonetheless.
Rex might get 8 wins out of a team that has a rookie QB with half as many TDs as turnovers and no WRs.

Hey man- don't poo all over schiano's big day today. Playoffs are special.
I understand the concern about whether Rex's scheme would work here. Let's remember Robs success in NO. It has even done before and worked quite well. I know Rex is smart enough to do what's best for the team scheme wise.

Before the season a lot of people thought the Jets had the worst or second worst roster in the league.
I'll take anyone over Greg Schiano at this point. I will LITERALLY take a fax machine with a coffee pot as OC and filing cabinet as DC. ANYTHING BUT SCHIANO.
