I understand the concern about whether Rex's scheme would work here. Let's remember Robs success in NO. It has even done before and worked quite well. I know Rex is smart enough to do what's best for the team scheme wise.
Work? Not trying to be rude, but compared to what we have here, eight wins would be considered a godlike achievement.
I'll take anyone over Greg Schiano at this point. I will LITERALLY take a fax machine with a coffee pot as OC and filing cabinet as DC. ANYTHING BUT SCHIANO.
I Would love Fax machine, but would never happen. Keep dreaming.

Well and daddy kins defense was a 43 defense as well. It isn't like he couldn't make do with what we have. Might be sort of interesting to see a 46 type scheme here.
If the Bucs were to switch to a 3-4, how would the current personnel line up?
If we could somehow get Rex I would do a complete 180 in terms of how I feel about the direction of this team. Go get em!

LOL, you're going to do a 180 every few days either way!
NOOOOOOoooooooooo!!

It would have to go like this:LDE: ClaybornNT: SpenceRDE: GMCWILB: DavidSILB: FosterOLB....who knows if we have anyone who can do that.Gholston can be a player in a 34 scheme as well but the key pas rusher thing is a total loss right now.

If you're starting from scratch, it seems much easier to find a 255 lb player who can rush the passer than a 275 lb guy.
From my limited understanding of the 3-4, would it make more sense to have Foster and Watson on the outside and David and Casillas inside?

IMO Watson is the only semi-natural 3-4 OLB. Foster is a natural ILB. David could do both but I'd put him at ILB. Casillas isn't even worth discussing.
Isn't Casillas considered the best coverage LB outside of David who is the best everything LB? Or do the inside guys not cover that much in a 3-4? Hayward is also pretty flexible in what he can play.EDIT: Or would Clayborn likely convert to a linebacker?
I think Rex would design a scheme to fit his players like a real good coach would do. McCoy is a perfect 3 tech and David fits nowhere in a 3-4. Rex would do the right thing.
NOOOOOOoooooooooo!!
Why?
Please oh please make this happen!
