Licht is going to overhaul this roster:1. A lot of players are not a fit moving forward (cost way too much).2.  Bucs have free agents that may not be brought back if they can be replaced by cheaper, younger talent (eg SAM line backer possibly).3. His emphasis on the draft suggests the Bucs will stockpile picks4. Free agency is to add value and fill needs.

I like how people reach for what he'll do when all we know ish about the guy other than his name, that people like him and where he worked.

Uh, JD, he wasn't in Arizona from 2009-2011. He was with the Pats.

My mistake. He certainly has moved around a lot.

Guess that pretty much blew your argument out of the water , huh ? LOL

Nope. As I said, there wasn't much to choose from in 2009 and 2010 anyways....so I wasn't holding those years against him. He was still part of 2012 and 2013. It is somewhat comforting to know he didn't have any part in drafting Skelton or passing on the 2011 QBs though. Like I said in my first post in this thread, I don't know much about him so I don't have a strong opinion. The ability to find a legit QB, and the importance placed on a QB are my only concerns. Outside of that, he seems to have been part of some good drafts. Fingers crossed.

Don't worry - people also want to give him credit for Brady when he was not part of the college setup at that point (he was a "pro personnel" guy). I suspect the first stint in Arizona was a hangout job - they probably made a job for him. He had been fired from Philly (different reasons depending on the source - one is falling out with his friend Heckert, another is his falling out/power struggle with Howie Roseman) pretty late (in May).  His title gives the sense that it was a advisory role in 2008, which is why it makes sense he went back to New England for a more traditional GM track job. JD, you are forgetting that they had traded a 2 and DRC for Kolb before he arrived and by 2012 they hadn't given up on him. I also suspect that a lot of the QB decisions probably heavily involved Whisenhunt.
