What can we credit him for based on his work in AZ? What players did he help pick?
honey badger
Um he worked under the Patriots org when and been part of some super bowl teams there, this guy has a great back ground, fans are never happy lol
Honestly if we were going this route we might as well have kept Dominik. This seems like a blind stab in the dark by the Glazers hoping for good results. What I see is a guy who has not kept the same job or stayed in the same city for more than 3 years. To me that smells of a guy who has more of a short term mindset as oppose to long term.
Schefter and Rapoport also reporting it now. I like the hire.
I'm happy, I just don't know much about him
Had to find someone that didn't mind lovie having the final say. Basically a pawn. Not a big deal either way.
Jay Glazer ?@JayGlazer 4mBtw, the Bucs job Licht has been tabbed for is a "real" GM job as he has control of the draft & other personnel decisions.
The FO and coaching staff will be complete before February...that feels good compared to the last two trainwrecks.

Except for the 5 years in Philadelphia? These guys are often nomadic, and the goal is a GM job. He's got the GM job - why would that be a short-term move?
don't feed the troll

Exactly, where is he gonna go from here? None of us really know what his exact resume and achievements are but his background is with some very good organizations in NE and PHI and his last gig in ARI is an improving team. Seems like a very positive move based on what we can know.
Don't know much about him honestly. I'll have to reserve any judgement until he speaks. But I am impressed with the fact that he has been apart of winning organizations. Successful ones that. We needed to bring in an out-of-organization blood here because the formers weren't cutting it.
I rather liked this article" http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7509720/jason-licht-real-change-chicago-bears
I read up on him a little bit and I must say I am enthused about the hire.

I meant more recently. Since 2008 it's been Arizona, New England, Arizona and now Tampa. And most of these guys aren't nomadic. None of the other candidates we interviewed were necessarily as nomadic as Licht. I mean it's not the worst choice but it just seems like we are settling. Kind of like the Greg Schiano thing all over. I would have preferred either Ballard, Vital or Gamble personally.
