If Licht can make our drafts like ARI last year, I feel good. To my knowledge all the picks they made helped improve them.
To hell with that! I expect him to keep our drafts where they have been the last two years. We've had two very good FA periods and drafts with Schiano/Dom. I know we'll be better coached but are we going to draft as well? Maybe we should bring Schiano back in the personnel department. He did after all find us a franchise QB in high school! He's been after Glennon for years and we were the benefactor of that.
Honestly if we were going this route we might as well have kept Dominik. This seems like a blind stab in the dark by the Glazers hoping for good results. What I see is a guy who has not kept the same job or stayed in the same city for more than 3 years. To me that smells of a guy who has more of a short term mindset as oppose to long term.
Sounds like looking for a reason to complain.
It's actually not a complaint at all. If you were smart enough(And I see you aren't) you'd see it's a little bit of cautious optimism. A change was needed but is he the right guy? No one can say for sure at this point. Anyone claiming they know for a fact that he will make all the right moves is talking out of their ass. I'm just in the wait and see camp.
Look what I just found on his Wikipedia page! This is crazy ! :"Jason Licht (/?la?t/; born February 13, 1971) is the American football General Manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He is known for riding waves. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Licht
Sounds like a winner to me
Licht was a scout for the Patriots when Brady was drafted. Any chance he was the guy who got the Patriots to take Brady? If he was the man behind the biggest draft steal in NFL History, I wouldn't mind him as our GM.
Lightning in a bottle, baby!
Lichtning! 8)
Seems like the Glazers are finally getting out of the way!!!!F ing awesome. They have ruined two franchises on two continents. Stay away. Let the football guys do their jobs.
I like the hire

I call it like I see it. Hopefully, Lovie learned from his mistakes in Chi-town. I can actually get a little excited going forward. The Glazers let the team fall into disrepair. There weren't many reasons to be excited. Now, if only Foley would fire Muschamp I can get the other half of my weekend back.

I had to refresh the page to make sure I was reading that right.

No. D1ck Rehbein, then the Patriots' QB coach, was who worked out and lobbied for Brady. He died in 2001.
@gregauman:Bucs will formally introduce new GM Jason Licht with press conference on Thursday in Tampa at 1:30 p.m. ...@Schottey:I really like the Bucs hire of Jason Licht. He’s been on my radar as the top next-to-be-GM candidate for a while—smart, hard-working.@Gil_Brandt:He'll do great job. Helped me out many times in past. Wife Blair also special. RT @Shugsmith: What do you think about the BUCS new GM?
