Guys... we have our GM/HC combo. I could not be more pleased. Plus I read somewhere that Licht is pronounced like Light. So, we'll be bringing the Lightning Love?
Lichtning!!! 8)
Don't know squat abou the dude, but it's nice to hear that he's well respected around the league. Also glad they hired a guy that's watching these prospects all year.
He's a "Belichick" kind of guy. Worked with Pioli, Dimitroff, and Andy Reid. Been striving to be a GM since his first days as a scout in the mid-1990s. Known to be aggressive and puts together very detailed scouting reports. He's bounced around between the Patriots, Eagles, and Cardinals and is respected as a bright, young up and coming executive. It's his first GM job. But he's spent a lot of time around some pretty successful people.Jay Glazer reporting that he'll have full control over personnel decisions and the draft. Lovie has control over the final 53-man roster and depth chart. In other words, Licht will bring in talent but Lovie will have final say over who the starters are.
Lots of good things to like there. Licht has been a part of 4 teams that made it to the Super Bowl. Hopefully, he will bring in some great talent and Lovie will return this team to relevance. A guy that I work with had only positive things to say about Licht during his time with the Eagles.
I like how the Cardinals didn't age discriminate and signed Abraham and Dansby, who provided 18 sacks on the season. Man, I'm glad Dominik's gone. He'd rather go with young, crappy players that had no business starting on an NFL team.

and just think how intimidating that Lovie and Leslie D is going to be.
With allen this defense would be tough. They need to go get him.
Still no one has edited out the wave riding comment I added to his Wikipedia page....I'm wondering how long it will stay there , LOL.
Anyone claiming they know for a fact that he will make all the right moves is talking out of their ass.
Name one person who said that they know for a fact that he will make all the right moves.#strawman
Give us your input dude! 8)
I really feel that he does not want to begin his career as an NFL GM, staking his reputation on the back of Mike Glennon. I just think this makes it even more likely we draft a new QB in Round 1.

I would agree with you if this class was any better, but dude can just as easily spend 2014 assessing the QB situation and then take "his guy" next year when the options will be better.
I think you're absolutely right, it is just a feeling I have right now... I would be fine rolling with Glennon, I think he's earned his shot. But if they feel the need to draft a new QB, I'll support that as well. I really think that the people in charge now are actually competent.

Same boat...first time in awhile Im willing to roll with whatever choices they make...just hoping its not a QB. A combo of 1st and 2nd round could be any combo of OT/LB/DE/TE/OG/WR and I would be much happier.
