The minute someone compares manziel to tebow, I have to question their knowledge, or if they even watched him play.Manziel can think much faster and has a much better throwing motion. The only comparison is his running ability, and that's crap too because it's different types of running. Manziel runs faster, and is much less of a bruiser. He also thinks on his feet and notices the holes he can go though without getting killed. The idea that they are the same type of player is ridiculous.
Please note, that folks like Chase and I, are not comparing the players. I am assuming that most if not all people dedicated to football enough to be posting on a last place team's message board in February, know enough to recognize how different their games are. We are pointing out arguments like JDoubles are exactly like those made for Tebow:He Just winsIgnore the footwork and mechanics, he gets results. He has so much potential. He will sell tickets. He will made it fun to watch. He has "swag".Oh yeah, and he wins.
Yup. Its not about comparing their play on the field. Its about how both players are defended when criticism comes forth.
I won't defend tebow. He was destined to suck in the nfl.I see enough other attributes from jff that he won't have the tebow_like dropoff.

Like what?
Brains and a better arm. To put it into a nutshell.
Impossible to know the "brains" aspect until he steps on a NFL field.
I can tell he thinks faster than tebow just by their college tape. Tebow couldn't strap his Velcro shoes without urban.
We will see how it works out. If he is drafted by TB I will root for him for sure. I'm just not necessarily rooting for us to draft him.
You're just dancing now Chace - the kid can play and has shown the ability to think. The question is now can he carry that level of play to the NFL... but that is based upon physical skills, not his ability/knowledge of the game
I was a big fan of us drafting Manziel, but im slowly questioning whether he'll have consistent success in the NFL as well.
I like Manziel (not at 7)...but he will need an OC and QB coach to really teach him to be patient and not always tuck and run. He would not make it through half a season doing that.
The minute someone denies the comparison of manziel to tebow, I have to question their knowledge, or if they even watched him play.
Fixed it for ya.
Doesn't change what I initially said. You didn't change anything. You fauked it up man.
So you think anyone who denies there's any comparison between Manziel and Tebow has no knowledge ??Cool we agree then.

He hasn't shown to be cerebral player at all. He doesn't normally sit in the pocket reading the defense and going through his progressions , his mechanics suck , he doesn't protect his body during runs , and he typically has to see guys open - he doesn't throw them open. His game is based on improvisation and instinct , not thinking. His knowledge will have to improve vastly also.Get a clue , moron.

Not sure if im "just dancing". He hasnt yet shown that he has the mental aspect of the game down, because he has never stepped on an NFL field. To talk as if he is proven in thos area is erroneous. I am unsure if he will struggle with the mental aspect or if he will excel, but to talk as if he is cerebral or that he has the brains to make it work...that might be the true "dancing"...and no, its not just his physical skills that come into question on whether he can transition to the NFL. Its his entire game as a player that is in question.

I question the mental aspect of Dbucs posts...
