Never got caught up in molly...He started taking pain pills to offset the wear and tear a starting QB faces.Basically, rather than heal his injuries and miss games, Josh tried to tough out all of the pain. In 2010, Freeman was doing well, but was clearly hurt. Fast forward to 2011, he took a step back. He tried to do too much for a piss-poor offense and got himself more and more beat up. While he earned the respect of coaches and teammates, he continued to break his body down taking hit after hit, and still popping back up each time. The kid was tough, but then came 2012. This was the year where Freeman started out white hot. And then.... what happened? The Bucs were on the cusp of the playoffs for the first time in years. But Freeman needed to go on IR. Nobody wanted to see that happen, our back up was Orlovsky, and the team would surely have missed the playoffs. So, the team DRs prescribed him Xanax or something of that nature, rather than IRing him so he could properly recuperate. At the time for Freeman, it seemed like the only way. Put yourself in his shoes, the coach and the Dr's are telling you there are only two options. Quit and go home for the year, or take these pills and lets go make the postseason. If you're a 24 year old Josh Freeman, your pride and competitiveness only leave you one option. The kid got hooked on the pain pills, which didn't help once he took one or two hits in a game. He troopered through, but clearly wasn't the same guy. It's sad how things worked out for him..And for those who don't believe it.. here are some clues.Schiano was hated around the league and fired at the end of the year after the whole story was leaked behind the scenes. Schiano would have gotten a year three no doubt if not for Freeman coming out to the league about everything that had happened. Kudos to Josh for not publicizing the story. He could have really done a number on our franchise. At least among the fans. Also, notice how Team DR Todd Toriscelli also left the team. The Glazer's canned his ass along with Schiano. Now why would they have done that? Especially after he helped get Revis back to nearly top shape. And... remember that investigation the NFL did earlier in the year, where they stopped our team at the airport to check the DRs bags. They kept the Bucs name cleanby also investigating two other teams. But make no mistake that was a direct surprise inspection brought on the franchise because of what happened with Freeman. At this time Josh is working to get back into football. He feels healthy again, and is no longer reliant on medication for injuries.Imo, he will be on an NFL roster next season, probably starting at some point.Believe or don't. But remember I was the guy who leaked the story about Tedford weeks before anyone else.
