Anyone?? cant find him even listed anywhere..think we drafted a guy we could have gotten afterwards..oh well..hope hes something
He is going to be a nickel CB in Bowles defense.
Solid pickup.
Watched you tube highlights..every highlight shows tackles in the box, screen passes and 1 slot pass defensed. Cant tell a whole lot from highlites. Looks thin but fairly fast and doesnt mind hitting.. Will have to wait for josh reynolds and kstate people for info. Didnt see anything mid or deep part of field all in short area of field
well he has played 68 games! at ndsu , uva, and k state so on the bright side.. there is definitely a ton of game tape the bucs scouting staff has seen
Normally late round picks don't stick but the Bucs don't have a true NCB on the roster so I think he has a good shot of sticking.
I would have liked to see Tomlinson. But I guess he was just too small?
He would've been an UDFA.
We'll need to sign a vet for NCB.
More likely Logan Ryan comes back and they can kick Neal to NCB if they need to.
Tape shows he's not afraid to hit...gotta love that.

Film also shows him getting torched in coverage.
No bueno.
But, yeah, he does bring the lumber.
I don't think Licht understands "value drafting". He just like players and takes em where he sees their value and not the market.
That's why he has a tendency to trade up AND reach at the same time, like with Maunch
The most WTF pick of nearly the whole draft besides that QB the Packers picked who has ranked 500th or something.
Licht thinks he's smarters then the hundreds/thousands of draft watchers who think this guy wasn't draftable. I feel like he does this once or twice every year so by the 0.0001% chance it comes off he say how he plucked him out of nowhere and take praise as a genius.

Licht like BB of the Patriots don't do a lot of value drafting. It is risky I admit because you do land the players you like but the downside is that you also miss out on picking up draft picks. But the difference is that BB will trade down and pick up more picks even if he has a draft crush on drafting his yearly LB/S special teams swiss army knife early on day 2.
What ends up happening is you land a lot of solid football players with solid floors but low ceilings. You lose out a shot at players with higher potential or more athletic prowess to be greater than NFL average.
He may be the biggest long-shot to make the team of all our draft picks.
This pick just makes zero sense... this should have been udfa or 7th rd
