Did anyone else kind of want us to draft him? I just loved his smooth footwork and mechanics to throw a nice accurate ball. He doesn't leave his receivers out to dry like Jameis. His only knock was his character but I thought it was way overblown. His main flaws to me were if he could escape the rush and his durability. I think we may have passed on a bigger and better Teddy Bridgewater (before the knee injury).
I just don't know if Jameis will ever have the precision accuracy to beat an elite defense deep into the playoffs. I know people hate him for the off the field stuff, but I think he'll stay out of trouble from here on out. To me it's all about his accuracy and decision making. He'll play great in some big games... But being a consistent performer? I have yet to be shown that he can be that guy. This year has so many things to unpack, all while being up against the best division in football, and in the NFC that is beyond loaded. Imagine what the FO and coaches are feeling lol.
